A short but beautiful 13.5km hike from Tineo to Campiello on the Camino Primitivo | Hike the Camino

Day 4 on the Camino Primitivo was short for a reason, lack of accommodation in Borres and the impending climb up Hospitales ensures that you need to preplan carefully. Perhaps the one place to try and book accommodation as early as possible. I had 3km to catch up to Borres before officially starting what is arguably the toughest day on any camino route. The day was cold, windy with a bit of rain and I was at this stage sick as a dog, so it was all lining up to be a huge challenge for day 5.
The route was beautiful with a longish initial 160m climb and then pretty much downhill with some last minute road walking into Campiello.
Campiello is pretty much just a well organised Albergue, restaurant and mini supermarket, don't expect much but the facilities are actually great. DO stock up on some snacks and water for the next day as there are no services available until you cross Hospitales and reach Berducedo.
