I never hear this march but I think of passing in review at MCRD San Diego, Aug., 1967. Semper Fidelis, Brothers and Sisters.

Every American should get to Washington during the summer and make to 8th & I to see this most patriotic of all events.

These Marines are exceptional, I am a retired 1sgt , I would rather teach Marines tactical operations any day. What these Marines do daily is very complicated. I get motivated every time I see them

The first time I passed in review was the day before graduation from boot camp in 1967. That opening "Semper Fidels" takes me back there in an instant. There really is no such thing as an ex-Marine - even those who hate the Corps.

I can only imagine how the commandant must feel being saluted with that pass in review on Friday evenings!

2:24 Do you think that little shout out might have detracted from the dignity of the ceremony?????

It could have. Or it simply could have been that someone felt passionate about the Colors and the pageantry of Pass in Review. As I don’t know who it was, I cannot ask them.

WTF !!! It's almost like the Corps I served in. But we were just typical Marine grunts passing in view.

These are infantrymen too. They just go to the fleet again after their tour here.

@@scottashcraft7652 yeah and they're the worst fucking grunts in the world after being at 8th & I. Especially because the pick up Cpl super fast and then get to the fleet and have no fucking idea how to lead a squad through an ambush let alone any basic grunt knowledge.

@@russ8059 That's why you old salts are supposed to teach and lead 'em, instead of just fucking with 'em. 2/5, RVN, '70-'71.
