Great simplification of complicated topic. Love how you explain the components and how they work! Thanks

Well shit this is actually a very informative video.
One question though, if my panels are doing 40v, and connected to controller and 24v battery that is currently on 26v voltage, does that mean the remaining 14v from the panels are wasted? not entering the battery?

for the backcurrent protection.. i'm going to try a Schottky diode

Mate you're a legend, I knew I was missing something. I'm literally at my desk writing up my plan for this now. I need to look into Schottky diodes, literally have no idea what they are lol terrible for a final year student. Tyty

@@HamedAdefuwa similar goals.. such a big topic... i read the forward voltage is lower with those diodes. struggling w/ an ina219 to measure everything at present.

That INA219 looks interesting, I'll purchase one now. I'd love to reverse engineer these kind of simple looking modules. It seems to use a shunt resistor to read the voltage across it and then uses the chip to calculate current. Thanks once again lol. Whats your plans? You looking to build a solar charger?

Great video! I'll give you $10 to call them solar modules instead of panels.
