Six Flags usually shoots for Independence Day to open many of their rides. This year if they open Flash that day they'll also simultaneously be celebrating Zumanjaro's 10th anniversary.
Funny enough that’s my birthday so that would be a perfect day to go there as well 👀
My assumption is that it may not open July 4th as some people are claiming, I was told likely anywhere late in July. Probably because of testing and inspection later on.
Hi Colin, the transfer track was installed yesterday so it’s just those last supports left.
They should have worked harder and smarter for the 50th Anniversary. It seems that Six Flags really didn’t think it out well. Things should have been completed by Memorial Day. No Flume, No Ferris Wheel and no Flash.
We were at the park yesterday and we meet Flash in front of the Wonder Woman ride. My son didn't think he was the real Flash so probably just a Flash "helper" but he was very nice and we did take a few photos with him.

Idk if it's something to judge by because it's different state and different type of coaster/manufacturer but I was shocked at how quickly Bobcat at Great Escape went from track completion to testing to soft opening. It started testing a week and half ago and it was soft open for the weekend after test runs. NY has a ton of red tape just like Jersey so I wouldn't be surprised if this happens quicker than some of you think...
I'm not sure. I think NJ may be over officious after El Toro and drag it out. It's also an election year and we know that creates strange behavior in the bureaucracy.
One thing i know that helped Great Escape out a lot was renovating the existing station. also if i understood from one of the interviews from the park president, planning started about a year and a half ago (Oct 2022) where Flash was more of a later decision from my understanding. i may be wrong or miss understood.
I'd personally hope that the indoor cue possibly be set up as a mock The flash museum. Something in the comics that's featured a lot. That flash's City has a flash museum. So you get to see flash and flash villain props, gear, costumes etc.
Just want to post some of my observations. First off all, in the employee parking lot the final piece of support is placed, and most likely be moved onto site within a day or 2. The trains are also within numerous boxes within that lot. Every month the park does a ride party for the staff and they list out which rides are available EXCEPT for June 27th, which just vaguely mentions the hero section. My best guess is that employee preview will be that night and media day will be that weekend for the full opening on the 50th anniversary
They really should’ve built a rotating loading platform for this…along with a whole transformation of that area as DC Universe/ Gothom City with immersive theming; cityscape Gothom type buildings, new shops, restaurants, ect.
Looks great. But I think they should've used a movable platform to have two trains on this (like how they have one for both Mr Freeze coasters. Plus I think one of the Sky Rocket II's has a movable platform, as does one of the Intamin Powersplashes) as wait times could be off the charts.
BTW, finally made it to my home park (Six Flags America) yesterday (6-25-24) and it was a light crowd. One train operations on everything (I guess they only break out the second trains on weekends), Ragin Cajun closed, Penguin's Blizzard River closed, Batwing closed, Shipwreck Falls closed (sign for that one says "This attraction is closed as we evaluate the future of this site".) But on a good note, I did ride Professor Screamore's SkyWinder twice. Yeah I still got banged around, but it wasn't as bad because of the vest restraints.
Doesn't make me hopeful for the long-term future of the park considering the merger.

Third, can't wait to see it complete. Also indoor queue? Yes idk why they don't make everything an indoor q or at least put something to block the sun/heat more.
On the majority of the coasters they used to have shade over the queues but sometimes before covid era the did away with it

This is my home park and i cant wait for this to open i have season pass diamond pass ultimate flash pass cant wait to go on this three times when it opens
I did bring up awhile ago that this could have a pre show but on stream y’all said that it was a fiesta Texas thing. The indoor queue tells me that there will be one. Also I do believe it will open before the actual anniversary of the park.
This ride would make such a nice addition to sfne on the old goliath plot of land....hint hints six flags.

My guess is mid July. I can see passholder previews on the 11th and 12th with a public opening the weekend of the 13th
There still needs to have the que installed, PLC needs to be installed with all of its sensors, ride ops need to be trained, i believe the state has to inspect as well as various testing that needs to be done. I'd say it's less than halfway done

My guess is mid July. I hope it’s sooner but theres still a ton of work to do. And that final support piece is key to the testing process. Electric, ground work, station buildings, lockers and stores like u mentioned all gonna take some time. July 1st would be epic tho. Can’t wait regardless
They don’t have to finish everything to open the ride just the final support piece and electrical and queue for the testing and certs from the state , the stores and grounds work and little details can wait or be done after and I think that’s what the park is pushing for because the faster they get the ride open and that path open the more traffic and people will be happy
@@christophermurtha9240 all that stuff you mentioned is a lot of work that doesn’t happen over a weeks time. I’ll be happy if they make that date but I’m not gonna set expectations and be upset when they don’t reach them. Anything can happen and issues can arrive during the process so fingers crossed.
Great video! I have one question, is roaring rapids a ride that closes an hour before park closing? Or does it stay open until closing?
Id be pretty disappionted if they end up not putting up the logo, Magic Mountain never put up the Wonder Woman logo, and it seems so empty

@@ClebyHerris the one in over Texas closed last season because it down most of the time. This ride has maintenance issues and it’s boring.
So will there be a media preview event for this new roller coaster for this year because i hope i get the chance to ride it including the members of the American Coaster Enthusiasts before it opens to the public.
Have the trains been delivered? I assume they ordered two to ensure uptime for a shuttle coaster. Or would they get one and a bunch of train parts?

At this point why not just wait more time and get a turntable to help with capacity. They didn’t get the ride ready on time anyways
I would love if Vekoma used the in they have with Flash to try to push themselves for GA's next coaster which is supposed to be like Velocicoaster.
GAdv definitely could use a Velocicoaster in their lineup. It’s basically rumored to happen in 2025 cuz Flash wasn’t their “big 50th anniversary coaster/off the shelf model”. There’s a possibility of happening but I doubt it cuz I see Flash reseting the clock once it opens this summer
@@edt-ze3ke Well, if Flash is a big hit, Vekoma will have an edge. I would really like Six Flags to give more emphasis to theming. They could learn from the Quidya project.
