Awesome video. Travelling all the way west to Wales by bus must have been really expensive but at the same time you get to see so many places and bus operators on the way you wouldn't get to see by the train
Happy Birthday! 🎂🎂Nice to see that you've been in my town, you probably should have been there more too see the new repainted MMC and an E-Citaro bus (forgot what it was called) in the streets of Cardiff on route 27 but it's still fine. Nice vid mate 👍
After Oxford, another way to get to Cardiff is by getting the S6 to Swindon, then the 55 to Chippenham, X31 to Bath, X39 to Bristol, T7 to Chepstow, 73/X74 to Newport and 30/X30 to Cardiff.
Practically the entire newport fleet is electric buses, excluding the smally number of Enviro 200s which mainly operate in Chepstow or on route 60 to monmouth and N230UB omnicities which are on their way out as the 23 plated electrics arrive. The Tridents, Presidents, Lolynes and Omnicities are all limited to schools, and you will be lucky if they stray onto a public route. In newports defence though, they have 5 Enviro 400s which do get used quite often on public service and 4 Enviro 400 MMC buses which are allocated to the 30 (but they are the new super quiet ZFs which are practically the same as an electric without Topodyn Would you still rather Newport over Cardiff Bus? I personally think Cardiff is better as they have Citaro 0530s (but half of them havent got kickdown) C2 citaros (they all got kickdown) and Scania N270UB- they are leaving soon 😢
The uncanniness of this video is: Exactly a month ago from the 3rd of August, I went from my house to Wales, on just trains via Manchester and Birmingham, starting off in Putney, SW London. This seems like the better way to go though!

Thanks! I actually saw the e citaro in Oxford (MB21BUS) while I was on the X40 which was a coincidence lol
Also, they have Yutong E12. Also, they do routes 5,27,28 (not on Sundays) 44-50, X45. By the way
@@TheTransportTH-camr also the 5 monday-saturday
@@OofBerry1 Oh yes, but not a Saturday.
They decided that a Saturday Service throughout the summer would be good. But the 5 uses Citaros from the 52 on a Saturday.

Yeah I tried going via bristol while planning but from what I remember the timings didnt work
just thought I'd say: 73 is faster than x74. and x30 is faster than 30 (obviously)
Happy birthday!

I bet no one can go from Brighton to Scotland by bus
Definitely possible if you're prepared to stay overnight at a hotel
@@TheBromleyBusGuy or I could just sleep on the bus? that's an option
@@TheLambSauce659 Try finding an intercity route that runs during the night in that part of the country, also that's just a terrible idea
