Part 13 of 16 - Arcade Fire - Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels).
Rock en Seine 2007. Domaine National de Saint-Cloud, Saint-Cloud, Paris, France. 2007-08-24.
I think it's safe to say this is my favorite song ever. It's the most beautiful thing in the world
creativewriter1000 and this is the best version of the best song.
Me too
I agree, the best song period.
creativewriter1000 ...me too my friend!
creativewriter1000 .Beautiful but powerful the way they absolutely smash out that music. 😳😎👍🇦🇺
If I had only one song to listen to the rest of my life, it would be TUNNELS.
I've been listening to this song for eight years, still so magic. That band keeps me alive.
Magalhaes Zoé make it 14 years
Change all the lead
Sleeping in my head
As the day grows dim
I here you sing a golden hymn!
I lost my wife a year ago and this has been the first time I was able to listen to this song!
Great fuck N band

I was 11 in the crowd and that was for sure one of my greatest live memory ever
There's not going to be very many shows you see in your lifetime that come anywhere close to the realm of greatness they had this night. Arcade Fire is one of the best live bands of all-time, and this show is one of their best performances ever. You're very lucky to have been there, and especially at age 11. That's awesome.
There are few songs that give me an almost full-bodied euphoria every time I hear them - this is one of them. Experiencing it at Glastonbury 2007 was a true highlight of my life. Beautiful!
I heard this song for the first time a couple of months ago (yeah how incredible) but it has become one of my favorite songs in the whole world. It´s so emotional, so colorful, so vivid, so magic...it´s a beautiful song that I want to hear live so bad. I have to.
The force and the energy are a little bit too much for my heart and my brain to process. Excellent performance!
I saw them on Austin City Limits 8 yrs. ago, repeat of 2007 visit. It took a bit to get the feel of their music as I was 65 at the time but then they just got into me and I won’t let go. I love their concert videos an sang and danced when I saw them in Seattle in 2016. What joy.
It seriously sounds like Win starts crying during the song :') hes not the only one
This band makes me feel alive
The most beautiful love song in history.
Love, love, love how the band members change instruments so frequently, song to song. Something magical about that.
I like how this band sounds . It blends mamy instruments from orchestra to rock. It doesnt hurt my years. It reverberates, like a mantra.
Wonderful song. It drips so much emotion, and it's so pure that it dares to wear it's heart on its sleeve.
Arcade fire and British sea power are two bands that evoke an feeling I can't fully explain. Like memories I can't quite make out. Strange. Nostalgic
yes thats exactly it
@@rochesterjohnny7555 thanks Johnny. What a band they are. Large group too. So many musicians
Great comparison, they both write songs that make me wonder how they haven't been written before
While listening to this FATASTIC song, am I the only one that has goosebumps as I cry?
Christopher Woodring I certainly hope so
+Christopher Woodring youre not alone
Nope you are not alone....👍😉
bigsamzerz Why would you hope so? What would obsess you to hope so?
Christopher Woodring no you're not brother🙏🏼
Sometimes I can't believe humans created something beautiful
Only humans could create something so beautiful
Man, musical genius aside, the quality of this TH-cam vid is extraordinary. Why only a couple thousand views? I hung out with Arcade Fire once (friends with their opening act). Very nice, warm, absolutely 0 ego.
This song just reduces me to tears sometimes. It’s so beautiful. The words and emotion - how it builds. How art should be.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.
Gets me through some tough times.
the first time i heard Arcade Fire i fell in love with them. There music is SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my heart can't hold it all
Totally. I get goosebumps all over when it crescendos into that massive climax towards the end. Amazing.
Why are these so good?Tears of joy...
What a masterpiece!!!
Such a beautiful song
Regine is super talented.Drums, keyboards, guitar whatever, she's the go to girl.
And if the snow buries my
My neighborhood
And if my parents are crying
Then I'll dig a tunnel
From my window to yours
Yeah, a tunnel from my window to yours
You climb out of the chimney
And meet me in the middle
The middle of the town
And since there's no one else around
We let our hair grow long and forget all we used to know
Then our skin gets thicker from living out in the snow
You change all the lead
Sleeping in my head
As the day grows dim
I hear you sing a golden hymn
Then we tried to name our babies
But we forgot all the names that
The names we used to know
But sometimes we remember our bedrooms
And our parent's bedrooms
And the bedrooms of our friends
Then we think of our parents
Well what ever happened to them?
You change all the lead
Sleeping in my head to gold as the day grows dim
I hear you sing a golden hymn
The song I've been trying to sing
Purify the colors, purify my mind
Purify the colors, purify my mind
And spread the ashes of the colors
Over this heart of mine
Never listened to them before last week, Thank you WBER 90.5 and thank you Arcade Fire for being awesome
I love this song soo much! I get chills every time. Purely amazing.
Humanity: why isn’t their a heavy, grungy, romantic poem about love between two innocent youngsters out there? Arcade Fire :Done!
Блин восресенье 2 часа ночи мне утром на работу, а я плачу и не могу остановиться. Что это за песня? Пожалуйста хватит мне больно
ONE OF THE BEST LIVE TUNES I WAS BEEN.....
Escucharla y que se erice la piel !🔥
I think you could give Regine a toaster, hose pipe and can of soup. She’d get a beautiful tune or rhythm out of them. Girl can play.
2019? Anyone?
5:08 to 7:20 always gives me goosebumps
It's part of what I really miss about live music...the crowd energy. Hoping it returns soon...
My favorite song and band. So many talented people on stage at once it's nerve racking
NO PUEDE SER que el publico NO SALTEE!!!!!!!!
Genios!
Were they crying in a certain part? This song is very emotional.
The song is about nostalgia, idk how hard that hits on adults
I know this has nothing to do with their music, but being an orchestra nerd I love how Sarah and Marika always have their bows moving in the same direction =]
The Butler brothers sure are awesome. and sweat a hell lot :)
I'm so looking forward to this year's rock en seine!
Brilliant. Genius. LOve it
It don’t get any better than this.
Such a great Song!
I love this song soooooo much
My favorite song ever. It is 20 years charming. beautiful thing in the world. Valeska Linz
여러 악기와 보컬들의 화음이 너무나도 좋은 명곡!!!
That's so strangely amazing. This is also my all time favourite song. My first all time favourite song was as a ten year old (earth song) and then came a song called don't cry Joni (Conway Twitty) and then came enigma - the child in us, the shins new slang, Jeff Buckley mojo pin, pink Floyd coming back to life... How did I forget to mention black by pearl jam. Long story long this has been my all time favourite song for 8-10 years now. I almost got purify the colour purify my mind tattooed on my arms.
the best rock and roll song of all time
it cant be put into words but the way you all play it gives me a pretty good idea. you are my inspiration
What a magical group!
personally, my favorite arcade fire song.
Great minds think alike; great bodies move alike...
Incredible song! amazing band!
I love this song
Not the most technically gifted band , not the most complex chords and musical nature. But fookin hell this band makes art , put your soul into 4 chords and you can make it sound like 100 all with different meaning.
Technicality is overrated. I put passion above all else. Doesn't matter if it's 4 chords or 10 chords, if it's jazzy and intricate or simple and straightforward. Passion for what you do is the key to great music.
Also some of the individual members are rather technically skilled musicians, the music they make just doesn't need too much.
Which is the most difficult thing to make nowdays. So I take it as a win for them
This is song has like 8 different chords going for it, definitely above average for pop.
the most Canadian song ever, *shovels drive way*
그들의 음악을 들으면 음악에 관한한 순도 100%의 진심을 느낄 수 있습니다.
I tucking miss you guys…
Omg this is so effing good. Thanks for this book I'm reading. It led me here.
What book?
+Arthur Lindstron Since you've been gone by morgan matson.
Miles ahead of most bands
Wish I can play tambourine with this band... !
this is fucking magical!
ive say thire show only once at fuji rock 2014.i hope come back japan again.please please me.....
Then we think of our parents and WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THEM!?
This Suburbia and No Cars Go all blow my mind!
So underrated...
My best song so far)
Truly Awesome - thank you - especially did not know the Drummer - how talented and Beautiful:)>> entire Band - ArcadeFire - where are the orbs:).?
Regine.
Great Great performance.
THE band in the first decade of 21 century
Scary good
This is the best love song ever.
Awesome!!!
melhor banda!!!
Win looks kinda like Elvis.
It's snowing in the UK at the moment and I'm fearing it will disrupt my plan to see these guys next week, so if the snow buries my neighbourhood, then I'll dig a tunnel, from my house to the LG Arena.
Hung out with them?! I'm not sure I like you very much. I discovered them in 2008, obsessed, waiting for their next album and tour.
I disagree, I like the live version better because of the chorus. The "turuturuturuturutururu tu tu" is awesome.
@ArcadeFireTube I think the same ^^. I have discovered this group this week, and I am absolutely in love! =)
@alexandrabimini The combination of your comment and the listening of this song actually made me cry those tears. Because what you just said is so true. Just that moment where you realize all of the beauty around you that you never noticed before... it's moving.
Start to finish for me
great song :))
Sara looks really cute with long hair!
💙I was there 💙
its apparently handy to play the way she is playing because it means you can more easily access the toms (with your right hand) while still playing the hi-hat =). also, im not too sure but i think a left handed drummer will probably play a left handed drum kit, like dom from muse
@daforceweilder7 That moment will never leave you.The beauty was always there, just outside a window, a window of opportunity .This song had only taken your hand and brought you to that window, and pushed aside the curtains of doubt so you can see with your own eyes all the beauty that is awaiting you.And the best part is,if you accept this beauty,it's yours to keep.
cant wait till the next album comes. in a couple of months, right?
Who else runs to this song because it’s so fucking beautiful? 🏃🏻
Yes but this is before 'lockdown'. Are you still there?
I'm just gonna start crying. And be OK with it.
regine may or may not be left-handed but then again the same could be said about jeremy, who drums most of the time and so she may have just learned to play that kit as is
@cris178Zune the asterisks are suppose to signify an action
How could I get those concert in DVD?
Because it's amazing!
@SpartanM621
Ye, we're not haters
I swear I didn't start crying like a baby at 0.33
Magique
