    I've had an X30 for over 2 years - I play it every day, love it!

    Yep. The X30 is a joyous instrument! That Martin, Gibson, Taylor, etc. some of y’all love is on the move as we speak. The action is getting higher as that belly swells and lifts. The neck is twisting slightly and aching to bow. I am 63. If Emerald had been around and I had bought one at 17, I would have saved thousands. Go Emerald!

    I have both an x20 and a D-28. I love the feel and playability of the x-20. But including this comparison, I prefer the Martin sound. But for comfort and durability- you can’t beat the Emerald.

    I’ve got two Emerald guitars (so far!) … an X20/7-string and an X20-Nylon string. They are both flawlessly built, beautiful, easy to play, and sound great. I prefer them over my $3k Martin, my Furch, and my others. I’ve been thinking of getting a “regular” X20 to have a great steel-string, but am leaning towards the X30 lately.
    I’m an Emerald fan for life!

      Oh my friend! The X30’s boom is the low thunder of a mountain storm in the distance. I am glad every time I pick it up.

    I have an X20 KOA and I play it everyday, the fact I can take it anywhere and play it anywhere trumps all my Taylors, Larivee and Gibsons 🙌

    Thank you for another excellent review. I saw your review of the Emerald X-20 a couple of years ago. For marital harmony, I cannot buy another guitar right now. However, I hope to visit Ireland in a couple of years and visit Emerald in Donegal and yes, get an Emerald Guitar. In the meantime, I am hoping that one of my relatively nearby guitar friend of friends purchases an Emerald and is willing to show it off.
    I love the growl of jumbo guitars, however I cannot comfortably play an Martin Jumbo because of all the edges you mentioned in the review. I suspect the X-30 with all its curves will still be too big, but I'd love to find out for sure. Thank you again for a fun review.

      My daughter, 5’2” and petite plays my X30 jumbo very comfortably. The difference is that the carbon fiber construction does not require, nor does it use, right angle construction. The guitar curves to fit you. You’ll love it. And that growl you love; the X30 OWNS that particular piece of the acoustic spectrum. Good lord but it is lovely.

    Another great review, thanks for the time you spend for these interesting and well done analysis. As I have seen you testing an X20, I would love hearing your point of view on the plugged sound. I love boomy acoustic guitars, with strong basses and crystal highs. As sometimes I need to shift to electric, I was actually thinking to an X10 slimline, but I’m afraid to be disappointed given the body size. When it comes to the plugged sound, how much the Emerald size affects it? Thanks in advance for your reply.

    What wood veneer you have on your guitar? Cocobolo? Looks nice with the red back.

      This is actually a dark Candy-stripe Padauk, looks just like Cocobolo though!

    Did your Emerald guitar come with a hard case? I havent seen any mention of this important detail.

    • @emeraldguitars
      @emeraldguitars  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      10, X20, X30, Virtuo, Kestrel and Solace all have a hardcase.
      X7, Amicus, Uke, Chimaera, Synergy X20 all come in gig bags.
      Hope this helps.

    The Martin sounded better unplugged, I really didn't even think it was close. Everything else, the X30 was better.
    I'm getting one to be stage guitar. What pickup do you have?

    Shouln't we compare the X30 with the J40 Martin?

    • @gregoryaconnor
      @gregoryaconnor ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have both the X30 and a Martin J40. They are two different animals. I love the sound of my J40 but I would resist taking it out in the Winter. The X30 has a different tone but solid and pleasing plus I tend to drag it around town in the winter and on hot summer days.

      I just thought that when you compare the JUMBO X30 for size with another guitar, you should compare it with another JUMBO, not with a DREADNOUGHT. Other than that, I am a big fan of the Emerald guitars, I have a Chimaera and I love it.

      @@traiancosma2207I made a few Emerald comparison videos. One video I compare my X7 to my Taylor 317e. I posted it in a guitar group and people were shocked how the X7 sounded just as loud as the 317 😀.
