  • While uranium prospector "Blix" Waterberry is in the desert, he wanders into an active atomic bomb test site and is accidentally exposed to radiation from a direct overhead A-bomb blast. He miraculously survives, becoming radioactive, and in the process gaining special powers.
    The Atomic Kid is a 1954 American black-and-white science fiction comedy film directed by Leslie H. Martinson and starring Mickey Rooney and Robert Strauss. It was distributed by Republic Pictures and produced by Maurice Duke and Mickey Rooney.
    This is the feature film showing in 1955 at the fictional Town Theater in the fictional Hill Valley in 1985's science fiction comedy Back to the Future.

    None other than legendary actor Laurence Oilivier, praised Rooney as an elite actor.

    Thank you, thank you, thank you. I haven't seen this in 50 years but for some reason I have very fond childhood memories of it. I remember something about him possibly exploding or something.

      You are very welcome, I think all of us that grew up in an era when this was shown on television on TVs that were primarily black and white all have fond memories of these television shows because they remind us what a free America really was. America before the Chinese communist party took over Hollywood and destroyed it. Thank you for watching

      You must be a Canadian. I saw this film about the same time or in a re-release a couple of years later. I do not remember anything about Hazel but was told I lived thru it.

    Thanks for posting in the original aspect ratio.

    • @OfficeofImageArchaeology
      @OfficeofImageArchaeology  ปีที่แล้ว

      I do everything that way. If you change the aspect ratio you ruin the Film as far as I’m concerned. The folks made it that way for a reason. Lol thank you so much for watching.

    Fun fact in back to the future when Marty finally time travels back to the future and the car gets hit with the lighting if you look at the theater in the background it says this film is playing. God Bless You All.

That’s a good guess I suppose. Yeah I forgot you’re right he did have his food cravings before the radiation exposure. By the way if you’re not joking about your favorite food combos you should really see a doctor.😂👍🏻

      @OfficeofImageArchaeology  ปีที่แล้ว

      A couple f years ago I bought a small storage unit. Inside were around 700 reels of film and about 200 wooden rackets. The rackets were from many different manufacturers. We found that the oldest one was made about 1930. I eventually gave the them to the sports departments of 3 different Universities for display purposes. Thank you for watching.
