These videos have been so helpful with my walk with God. I’ve always had challenges with making time and reading His word. Reading it now and also watching your breakdown has helped me have a new lens. Ofcourse, my own interpretation of what He’s telling but just wanted to share that this has been helpful. Keep going!

Hello Angela! Thank you so much for helping understand the word so much better.🙏🏻 I have a question : which is the best Bible commentary that I can purchase on Amazon?
A couple of key points I have heard from a couple different scholars. The first point is they were bringing this woman before Jesus for execution but only cite half the law because the other half of the law states that the man should also suffer the same fate. Second point is when Jesus wrote on the ground, it would make sense if he wrote that portion of the law and then after either wrote the name of the man or simply where is the man. Because Jesus wrote in the dust the words were not permanent and would be erased either by the wind. I guess John never saw it so he wasn’t able to record it. Either way the man in question was not there. Which brings me to the second point. They get into a little talk about witnesses. They need a certain number of witnesses to carry out the execution and only the witness can cast the first stone. However, the witnesses didn’t bring the man. Which means either one of two things, they knew who the man was and hid that information or there was no man and they were lying. Both conditions means they are baring a false witness by telling only half the truth by hiding the man or outright lying. It’s also possible that these men are the guilty ones. Of course there is no way to prove that but the fact that there was no man being tried means the case is totally unfair. So when Jesus says “He who is without sin cast the first stone.” He is calling them out for not producing all the evidence. Because unfortunately for them if they are guilty for baring a false witness then the penalty is they must suffer the same punishment as the accused according to Deuteronomy. Finally when Jesus lets her go. Even though he was sinless he also can’t carry out the execution because he didn’t witness the crime. In the end this whole situation was rigged from the start and Jesus seems to combat it with the law itself. I guess my final point is when it comes to judgement even righteous judgement. I think the point Jesus makes in regards to it is to be fair and not biased. Hence Leviticus 19:15. This case was not fair. Judgement is a funny thing. Because if you have never commuted the crime then you can judge from a place of righteousness. On the other hand if you have committed a crime and have suffered the punishment then you can judge from a place of understanding. Because Jesus suffered the death and rose in the resurrection after taking on our sin even though He was guilty means He is the only one that can judge from both perspectives.
I think Yeshua writing on the ground is reference to God writing the ten commandments on stone. Just think about it. Not sure If people pay attention to this!? Where is the man, I mean the fact the man is not even mentioned could point to the hypocrisy of the Pharisees. They probably just let him go imo.
i love reading the bible with you. I wish all of your generation were like you. Praise the Lord for you being obedient. God bless you
