Ink and his brothers died in their past life in the same place. But after they died they met someone (though they couldn't remember who) gave them a second chance to live again, the bodies that the brothers have been using were created by the person who gave them a second chance to live but, they by chance or by accident made Ink a soulless person/monster meaning Ink cannot die but some how can still feel and show emotions.
And to your answer: No. Ink did not die 2 times if he did die a second time he will either have a different body or probably use the same body but as a soulless person/monster.
Eh...I need to write they're backstory...
[Also 'fun fact': Ink was separated from his brothers by accident. Supposedly the reason why Ink doesn't know who his brothers are in their second life or he thought his brothers are still dead.]
