I have fell into the hype of new releases before, even after watching reviews on TH-cam and making sure I really wanted it, and then when I got it, I felt buyers remorse and was disappointed and not excited about it. Thank you for your honesty , I too got pulled in as the last collection palettes were so good. I only wanted the make up bag but to justify delivery to the uk I added the palette. It’s only just shipped so it won’t be with me for at least another 10 days I’m over it and I have buyers remorse now 🤦🏻♀️ lesson learned !
omg, that makeup bag is adorable, and i was soooo sad it sold out on me. the mirror is adorable, but i still have the kokie mirror on my wishlist. the velma lip kit is a hell yea!!! i’m not a fan of big palettes, and there’s a lot of empty space, but it’s a beautiful palette. i’m inspired by how you duped everything and sold the collection, because i’ve been trying so hard to just be honest with myself about releases. that’s why i only wanted the makeup bag.

Just for info - the printing effect where it switches between different images when you view it from different angles is called a lenticular image, not holographic. They're very cool! :) Though I agree that this Scooby Doo set is all pretty dupable.

Sometimes FOMO just gets you. Next you do a happy dance brought on by an adrenaline rush when the package(s) finally arrives!! Then you open said package(s), you realize that you have the same thing in a drawer or buried somewhere in your closet with things you never use/wear, the adrenaline wears off & you become tired & grouchy because there’s nothing that you NEED inside the box… Anyone else relate? No, just me with 3 identical shirts in different colors which I never wear but tell myself that one day I might 🤷🏼♀️. Yeah, that’s a crummy feeling but we pull ourselves back to reality & try to ignore the FOMO next time 🤗🙏🏻!

I only ordered from Glamlite once for the Strawberry Shortcake collection. I had to have my neighbor pick up my box since they took weeks to ship them out and I was out of town for Christmas. I would never order during one of their releases again.
So, I bought a few things from this collection. I didn’t buy the palettes from the first launch, and I always wanted them, so I ended up grabbing all 3 palettes when this newest one came out, at a discount. This is my second ever purchase from GL. They typically don’t push me to purchase, I can be rather picky and snobby about my eyeshadows, if I’m being honest. The long wait for shipping is a MAJOR turn off, and I may have ordered less if I had realized it would take so long. It’s one thing to wait 6 weeks on some indie singles, but not this type of stuff. I got the blush palette too, for my love of scooby, not because I needed it. It wasn’t much. I also got the Daphne lip kit, but I was wanting a lighter pink. And I was at that point where you decide - do I spend $6 more and get free shipping, or do I pay for shipping? I hate paying for shipping. I love the lipstick packaging, even if it is cheap. I also have the makeup bag on order, but it probably won’t ship for another fucking month 🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️. And with that, I ordered the chucky palette, cause, why not? 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️. You know, it’s really a nostalgia thing for me. I’ve heard too many good things about the round 1 palettes that I know those will be good. This newer palette, ehhh, I don’t know. I don’t like the small pans and the extra space, the colors are between being just okay to yeah, I like that color! The brushes look cheap, and I’m a brush snob also, so - hell to the no! Anywho - that’s my rant ❤❤.
The vibe of this video was "fly by the seats of your pants", and it was a hoot! Good for you for not using the products simply out of obligation! I can't say this collection appealed to me (I am a super boring neutrals gal, and I didn't watch Scooby Doo as a kid), but I hope someone is happy to get their paws on your purchases from your Mercari page so that you can recupe some of your money.
I genuinely appreciate that you didn’t use the collection “just because” you bought it. Being a conscious consumer can be hard! It’s so easy to get swept up in the excitement of shopping or collecting. So this video is a good reminder to not only work on curbing those habits (if that’s your desire), but also being kind to yourself when you don’t make ideal buying decisions. You made the best of it!

Love the honesty (lol positivity towards brands is low in my priority list, honesty is #1), esp taking us thru the process, and handling the excess product in a way that the rest of us can replicate (selling it on mercari vs using influencer status or a giveaway etc). Love the concept of duping new palettes from our collections, I've even been using mehron mixing medium to create dupe shades or to invent versions customized to my skin. It's too time consuming for everyday, but so much fun when I have a leisurely morning.

This collection really took a long time to be delivered. It was weird. I received my Chucky handbag and liners which restocked after this release before this showed up. That said, I’m enjoying it. It feels summery. My scoobie lip scrub definitely smells like Graham cracker; particularly the balm. I do agree that the packaging was meh for it though…especially compared to the rest of the collection. Edit to say that it’s good to go with your gut and hey, you’ll recoup at least some of your moola. I get caught up sometimes too. I’m really trying to take a couple breaths before buying new releases.

But, Linda, consider: is there a reason you don’t already have that light pink color lip stick? Filling a void is great, if that void needs to be filled. If you will wear that color, then keep it. If it’s missing from your collection because you don’t like and won’t wear that color, then sell it also.

And I love the part 1 collection. And, is it strange that I could name about 90% of the palettes you were gonna use instead before you even showed them?
I have extremely long wait times for my products as well but I’m ordering from CDA and I personally do not like those shades of blush either I’m over all these Barbie pink blushes I again personally think there’s only cool toned skin types that can pull of that shade and have it look good , I agree with you the quality on those brushes looks really cheap and for mr if I ordered that it would not have been a very affordable price after the dollar exchange and shipping. I can totally see why you regret this purchase and are going to sell off what you won’t use .

I have extremely long wait times for my products as well but I’m ordering from CDA and I personally do not like those shades of blush either I’m over all these Barbie pink blushes I again personally think there’s only cool toned skin types that can pull of that shade and have it look good , I agree with you the quality on those brushes looks really cheap and for mr if I ordered that it would not have been a very affordable price after the dollar exchange and shipping. I can totally see why you regret this purchase and are going to sell off what you won’t use .
Um, excuse me, did your Melt face palette make it out okay? ( Those bangs were serious!) I honestly did not buy the palette or collection. However, I found that I've been duping a lot of palletes that are releasing with my singles that I already own. Great video though ❤
