  • I tried my best to cover everything I could, that's why the video is so long!
    I really hope this helps for those who wish to learn this kind of music, as I know my teaching style can be super hectic and disorganised:)
    Enjoy!

    Love that! Absolutely useful for me, since there is unfortunately no one around in my area to teach boogie woogie style piano. I am totally depending on guys like you to improve my playing. I am really grateful that you take your time and make this wonderful tutorial.

      I'm super glad my videos are helping people out:) I'll make sure to do one of those, his style of piano was very unique, but I'm sure I could cover some of his basic riffs!

    Diamond cut riffs brother. Fats has been criminally overlooked as a boogie player as the focus has often been on the strictly NOLA stuff. Definitely schooled in the Ammons, Amos Milburn style as he himself acknowledged. Keep the Fats frenzy coming!

      Thank you very much!
      I agree very much, some of his earlier rock and roll records (Little Mama, Please Don't Leave Me, You Done Me Wrong,) combined Boogie-Woogie and rock and roll perfectly, yet they never sold like his others!

    trills are my best friend when improvising

    • @chaspianosi9556
      @chaspianosi9556  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know! You can play them whenever, wherever, and they pretty much always sound good! I still have not decided on my ideal trill speed/intensity, and I find it varies alot:)

    Btw the note you call B at 0:40 is often called H in north European countries
