The US would have so many more homegrown world-class players if football wasn't so expensive, even football legend Zlatan once complained about how insanely expensive it is for kids to play football in the US..
Everything is pay to play in the US. Pay to play isn't the problem with soccer in the US, it just means kids with hardworking and educated parents get better training. The reason why we aren't great is because soccer is not popular in the US - bottom line. US soccer and MLS do not do a good job promoting the game to the masses.
@tripperdelaluna1 What does it have to do with the parents? Rich kids having things handed to them and taking things for granted isn't new. Most do it for "appearances", like having to go to Stanford.
This guy is really good. He stands out by a lot from other usa players. Hopefully he can make it far in the up coming world cup. Greetings from Argentina.
I became an AC Milan fan a few years ago. When Ibra moved back to Milan. Then came Christian, and I was like: "My fellow American has found love in football again".
Everything happens for a reason. I also agree that he deserves better. I think that if he were a player on Argentina, England or France . . . That he would be labeled as the next best player in the world. He really has special talent. And this is unbiased, I am an El Tri fan who hates USA. but Christian is something else… but like I said, everything happens for a reason. What do you think about RLC? We milanisti saw him performing great as false trequartista in 4-2-3-1, where he basically was a constant threat and acted like an incursor managing to score around 10 goals, but the overall impression last year was of someone less able to guarantee a constant presence in the midfield (à la Kante/Matic/Makelele just to give you the idea, that is what we really need after Kessie departure) than what we expected.
@@scsutton1But you can’t deny his contribution to that Champions League Trophy. As ACM fan I'm quite satisfied with Pulisic, who played out of his traditional role (played RW instead of LW) in his first year with us, but managed to score around 15 goals and 10 assists through all the competitions the team entered. The issues were our playing style and the overall system coach Pioli built, that made the team have insane ups and downs even inside the same game with a not existing balance, low ability to keep possession and control, too much gaps among the lines and everything becoming too fragile on the defensive end. We'll see how Pulisic will perform with new head coach Fonseca (the portoguese is a gigantic question mark, alongside the policies of the club that seem more focused on marketing and fashion than pitch matters), given the fact we want from Christian a little bit more in matches against top teams, cause he never had a real impact againt those in his first year. I'm also curious to see if we'll see him starting more often from a central position, with Chuckwueze as RW and Leao as LW in a super offensive 4-2-3-1, but let's be real more likely we'll keep Samu as super sub and we'll have this type of squad only in rare occasions.
I truly don't understand how some people can't love this guy's humility and humbleness, and say he's shy and stuff. I don't know about other sports and some sportmen in football, but football is one of those sports that should be about humility and team attitude.
