Are they better than the halogen in terms of visibility?
They definitely make a difference; you get more throw to the side and a serious improvement in distance ahead of the vehicle, but not enough to blind oncoming traffic :)

looks good! For the switchbacks you need to use a file on the plastic to make it fit. Mine did the same thing at first but if you make the part that plugs in the same length as the factory bulb it should fit.

I had the same problem with the retaining clip on my 2016 Elantra GT , The Clip would rub on the heat sync fan at the top . I'm getting an exchange on the lights from Auxbeam . They are sending the F - 16 Series as the Series 3 won't fit. Hate the bulb location in the fender well !! Better to remove the tire too .
ordered both sets tried installing the high beams on my 2013 mazda 6 and noticed that they did not fit or lock in place looks like there is a black lpcking ring with 3 screws over top of the gray housing unit for the light also the pins for the light are close together where as the pins on the original bulb are spread wider. my fluid container is also mounted underneath vs on top so no need for removal on passenger side.
canadian tire told me the same LED bulbs would work for high beams AND low beams with the resistors attached.
worked fine for the high beams, but it seems the low beams go straight from headlight to wiring with no connection in between to replace.
So I got the low beam bulbs in place and plugged in.. but it doesnt turn on. What's the problem?
is it possible to have 80W led in the low light socket or will it get too hot? I had 60W led before and would like to have litle moore light without disturb cars
Sorry to be picky but cleary this a GH Mazda 6 model. So you got the year for the title incorrect. GH ran from 08-13. Trust me I have the 08 limited edition blue LS variant.
Hey sir, I’m sorry about you losing this car but I have a Mazda 6 2010 i Sport that I replaced the low beams with H7 Sylvania XZE Gold Bulbs, they r still yellowish and weak, I believe the headlight is dirty from the inside, how do I fix this? Yours look white and really bright.

Its cool bt the low beam is nt as bright as my car low beam. Thanks though bt when they burn out i'll put my former bulbs back

I just bought a 2011 mazda 6 and when I saw this video I was going to install the same low beam LEDs but I read in your description that one broke after a year and half. I think when you put the weather/dust cap back on the lights couldn't breathe and the led fan was circulating hot air inside the headlight housing so it wasn't really cooling the led light. Did you replace the light with another led headlight or did you go another route? Thanks.
I replaced the bulb. Without the cap you might risk to get condensation and dust trapped inside the headlight.

The manual for these lights say there's supposed to be a turning motion when inserting the lights, but I don't see it in your video. Also the clamp doesn't seem very secure. Can you give more details on this? Don't we just insert the light straight in so it fits through the notch. There's no turning after that is there?
for the high beam you turn (not shown in the video) but for the low beam the clamps are holding the bulbs in place.
Wow what an effort. You know what I would stick on good quality halogen instead of thise cheap led or hours of effort. Considering those lens not designed for led so most likely there will be trouble for incoming traffic , not to mention heat problem or electrical problems can cause dangerous issues , thanks to your videos I will stick to original
That makes zero sense. People retrofit led bulbs all the time. Halogens suck.
@@tg8150 yes people fo indeed do that but there is a right way and a wrong way though. He is saying that one shouldnt do all this effort if you arent going to change the housing assemblies because they are built differently.
Did you ever have any allignment issues? I replaced mine and both beams are angled to the left. If you know how to fix this please let me know.

The led bulbs on a projector headlight scatters the light bad to where it’s dangerous the fix install hid light bulbs.
Here is a tip on OPT7 hid light kits Mazda is going to need a relay installed but when ordering they don’t tell you that so I’m waiting on my relay kit another thing if a driver goes out OPT7 won’t sell you just the part that you need they make you buy another complete kit which isn’t fair in my book.

Kenneth Collins your going to be real happy with them and our 2017.5 Mazda 6 is a just a Touring model not Grand Touring H11 led bulbs should work on my fog lights and look great as my high beam led bulbs look great or I’m very happy.
For my day time driving lights I found some bright led lights eBay # 301705094552 or I just might go with a stripe of led bulbs that will go from one end of the low grill from end to end but I’m leaning with the eBay lights they mount easy.
Kenneth Collins your DRL aren’t going to work and if you want them on look at this info me I’m putting on separate DRL and I’m going to see if I can pull the fuse for the DRL
Headlamp original white HID?
the original headlamps were yellow halogen.
Pretty sure atheist in the UK you can't have led's in projector headlights as it messes up the beam pattern which is an mot failure

I have 2009 Mazda 6 thinking 🤔 it had fog lights but someone had changed bumper you know what color the wires are to be sure 👍
