Samarkand is a city in Uzbekistan known for its mosques and mausoleums. It's on the Silk Road, the ancient trade route linking China to the Mediterranean. Prominent landmarks include the Registan, a plaza bordered by 3 ornate, majolica-covered madrassas dating to the 15th and 17th centuries, and Gur-e-Amir, the towering tomb of Timur (Tamerlane), founder of the Timurid Empire.
The Registan (Uzbek: Регистон, Registon) was the heart of the ancient city of Samarkand of the Timurid Empire, now in Uzbekistan. The name Rēgistan (ریگستان) means "sandy place" or "desert" in Persian.
The Registan was a public square, where people gathered to hear royal proclamations, heralded by blasts on enormous copper pipes called dzharchis - and a place of public executions. It is framed by three madrasahs (Islamic schools) of distinctive Islamic architecture. The square was regarded as the hub of the Timurid Renaissance.
The Shah-i-Zinda Ensemble includes mausoleums and other ritual buildings of 11th - 15th and 19th centuries. The name Shah-i-Zinda (meaning "The living king") is connected with the legend that Qutham ibn Abbas, a cousin of Muhammad, is buried here. He came to Samarkand with the Arab invasion in the 7th century to preach Islam.

I have been today to this place and it was full of tourist.Regarding scams I did not get even once and I liked Uzbekistan and uzbeki people

Yes, no doubt people in Uzbekistan are very nice, friend and welcoming. However at some places, we faced few instances where they lie on our face about the rates which they told when ordering but when we paid the rates were different.
My experience was great. No scams and totally different from what the video says.
Recently I visited Samarkand and Tashkent, I am not facing any scam here, all people's are nice here but thanks for guide us about this scam.

Actually i have not used any filters in it, and i have checked in 2 mobile it is working fine. And if you are facing this issue then it may be a concern as lot of other viewers might be facing the same issue.
