Oh my god, looking for that little bounce is mind blowing to me. I can’t believe I’ve never seen that before, but now that I notice it it’s so helpful. This might actually help me get out of the depths of the 600’s 😂 thanks brotha! Much appreciated! 👑🔥
You need to do more tutorial videos like this. You are obviously a beast at this game, but have such a good balance of excitement and humility while explaining. I am searching your channel first before looking for any other tip/how to videos and there just aren’t enough of them. I would watch every mlb 21 tutorial video you posted. There are also not enough videos on TH-cam about why the best players online are choosing certain players over others. Example, I pulled ocuna out of a pack and put him on my bench bc i had a parallel 3 Roberto Clemente. It wasn’t until watching another random video where they mentioned Clemente getting you a lot of singles and that’s about it. It’s true, but to me he is. Badass 93 player with an arm like a cannon so why not start him? Why is ocuna so expensive when there are so many diamond rf to choose from? Should I pursue Trout if I have POTM Buxon at 4th parallel already and can’t sell him anyway? Seems like there are a lot of other dimensions than just overall ratings that I’m not taking into consideration when putting together my lineup and I’m holding a couple hundred thousand in players I’m not even using just out of fear of selling them example: I’ve been holding onto Lofton as a designated runner when I could have sold him for 50k. There’s so much going on it’s nerve wracking. I’ve given up trying to understand the collections until I’m comfortable with buying/selling players. I’m holding everything when I know I shouldn’t. Bought R. Sandburg to improve my position rating and feel like I wasted 35k stubs bc i keep hearing he’s garbage and just to put an ss at 2nd base but I have no idea why Sanburg isn’t a “good 92”. Buyer’s remorse is real.
appreciate the thought put into this message, and i'm glad you enjoy the tips videos! I've been really enjoying making them, and they'll be more coming out tomorrow so make sure you keep an eye on the channel :) There's a lot of knowledge to be shared about the game, especially coming from someone like me who plays top competition almost every day 😅 Other than player breakdowns, if there's anything else you'd like to know - toss the idea my way!
@@kingthom445 yea it’s beginning to not feel worth it to play against the CPUs to grind for good cards, only to go online and get completely disrespected
You just got to practice. These high rating diamond pitcher you see online throwing with 100 mph heat and has off speed pitches that is 15-20 mph difference force you to to might guess a pitch even though is not the best timing method. It so hard to hit 100 mph heat while adjusting the off speed pitch that is 20 mph difference. Try to get the best hitter as possible then play a cpu game on higher difficulty because you can still get xp especially if you play conquests or completing game challenges.
Same what helped me was starting my pci inside when I’m a righty batter on righty pitcher and i try to swing extra early on the inside pitches early in the game it’ll prevent them from spamming sinkers and fastballs inside on you
The game would be so much fun if you could actually hit. But you can’t. I played baseball my whole life and I still can never tell what pitch is being thrown on this game man, and when I do guess right I’ll get a good a swing practically in the middle of my pci for a pop up or groundout, I don’t get it... And the fact that we have to play on the shitty zoomed in camera in order to have a shot at hitting is ridiculous also: literally just grounded out on a good good down the middle. Game makes zero sense. It reminds me of when 2K had the GOOD WIDE opens that would brick. That shit made me quit 2K18 and it’s boutta make me quit this game too
i didnt had to go in 1st person mode to hit well in mvp baseball. u cant even tell who is at bat..at this time i shouldn't have to sacrifice 1st person view to enjoy the game...take me back to the time.
Bro it is so hard on the Xbox one because it only runs at like 20 frames per second so The ball seems like it comes in faster than what I see on youtube
So what your saying is track the ball from his hands like look 👀 at his throwing hand then follow with pci? I’m in a slump so watching this can help but is that what your getting at I’m trying to improve more like I’m good then off can’t be consistent
Brand new player here, trying to learn best ways I can out the gate. I can tell you're high level not just some duder playin, which is very much appreciated, you sharing your hard earned knowledge. Thank you. Dumb question maybe but are you just using "normal" swing all the time or are you also choosing contact or power as needed?
A tip I have for better timing: really emphasize trying to hit a fastball to the opposite side of the field. This will help a lot with staying back on off speed pitches.
I really don't play online cuz I know damn well my TV and Playstation would have been demolished 💀💀 but damn these tips are really helpful for me playing on Franchise Mode. Idk if it's true but I've seen your gameplay and I noticed that the ball kinda slows down mid-air for you to react with enough time while offline it just flies right through? Is that true?
What’s your thumb stick movement like? You mentioned “like an axe” and “guiding the PCI”...but how do you know which one to do? For those trying to learn to hit, do we start off by diving to the edges when we determine where the ball is going? Or should we be making small PCI adjustments always and only dive when it’s the last option? Also, what is your thumb doing during the pre pitch? Are you loose then tightening up on the stick when the pitch comes? Are you loose the whole time?
First time playing this game. I’m on Xbox one and I’m convinced that the ball disappears for a few frames and then reappears when you’re hitting... My monitor isn’t the problem
alr and one more thing, you can answer this rq for me in stream or you can do it here bcause nobody rlly does tutorials on this, but I wanted to know an eye drill that you use just to do before I play so I'm not giving the pitcher free confidence at the beginning of the game.
This game is 100% broken. It doesn’t play like baseball, doesn’t act like baseball and doesn’t look like baseball. Overall a 0 out of 10. Everything about this game is horribly wrong.

@@golfboy7438 the fact that you can get a good swing with your pci on the ball for a out is just stupid to me. That should be an automatic hit

My least favorite thing are people that throw high velocity fastballs. Especially when they throw low off speed and then randomly high 99 4sfb

I love this video. This is great help. But I feel like some of the reactions with see pitches comes with playing baseball in real life.
not at all, your just gonan get have to used to the pitches
Yea not at all. The only positive to having actual baseball experience is knowing what to do in situations
Is there a difference in bat speed between the three hit buttons? power, standard, contact??
yes! contact is faster , regular is average, power is slower

How do I get the rosters for BP? maybe I'm spelling his name wrong
