  • 4 days solo canoe trip right after a 6 day group trip, mostly relaxing, wind bound, fishing and paddling my canoe at Marshall Lake, about 2 hours NW of Nakina, Ontario.

Are Pickrel the same as Walleye?

Yes, same fish in Canada. (a lot of my Canadian friends are beginning to call them walleye now)

Love these solo videos. Though I must say, you are not solo when I am with you in Spirit. Consider yourself haunted....and keep these awesome solo trips posting. Safe travels.

Robin hard for you to imagine but I enjoy your trips nearly as much as you do. There is something about a canoe that makes me smile.

The Chestnut canoe, a real beauty. Going up in Fredericton, New Brunswick, I am very familiar with the name Chestnut. Their factory was located there. There is also the Chestnut pool on the Cains River. It is a spring fed pool, good for trout fishing.
Nice to see that you are enjoying your canoe.

Great video, I enjoyed the whole thing. I have only been that far north once. I went on a huge trip north of Red Lake, Ontario in 1971. Awesome country, thanks for the video!

Thank you, this gives me hope for my upcoming solo trip... I was particularly scared after finding myself windbound over this past weekend. Great video, and thank you again!

We call those walleye here, but they are fine eating. Also, how do you charge your camera batteries?
