Wow yesterday 15/06/2024 I bought this Resond Nexia it's a game changer in Newzealand 🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿🎼🎼🎼🎧🎧🎧🎻🎧🎹🎸🎙👂👂👂now I can hear very clear Problem Solved I can feel the difference. Thanks to Dr.Cliff 🇳🇿
I just had my Oticon More 1 HA's updated to the latest firmware last week. I have placed an order for the Oticon Real HA's which I am anxiously awaiting to get. I have used the ConnectClip with a dongle to stream audio from my MacBook Pro. What I am absolutely loving is that I now can connect my Oticon More HA's directly to my MBP without using the ConnectClip anymore. The quality of sound is much better, and the sound lag is gone where the audio was delayed reaching my ears. I don't think that Dr. Cliff mentioned this available connection for an Apple laptop, but I really like this feature and am really looking forward to seeing what the new Oticon Real's will sound like.
Thanks Dr. Cliff for taking the time to keeping us the end user up to date on the latest and greatest updates and changes in the HA world so we can be a better informed consumer.
Thank you…. I am still using Jabra from Costco and happy with the Bluetooth. I don’t have it connected to stream into tv and my laptop… but do use the music feature on the app which really helps here on tv!
Thanks Dr. Cliff. Which hearing aids "Made for All" stream audio directly from the Apple Watch to my hearing aids? For example, will I be able to listen to a podcast that is playing on my Apple Watch through my hearing aids without my iPhone nearby? Thank you very much for your help.
Hello, Dr. Cliff, your information is amazingly helpful I have an Oticon Open S 2 BTE PP with Firmware 8.0. I have profound hearing loss in one ear and use that hearing aid in it. In my other ear I have whatever is worse than profound so hearing aids don't help. But when I put a hearing aid in it I can hear "something" that is not what I would call "sound." It's more like percussion and weird robotic electronic feedback. My insurance pays up to $2000 every 2 years for one hearing aid. I am due for a new one. I have the Oticon CROS and the Oticon ConnectClip microphone. I have an ear mold that sounds twice as good if I push it into my hear hard. This tells me it doesn't fit great. My first question is, should I stay with Oticon for my next hearing aid, have they advanced much in 2 years? And my second, (or third) question, is what can I do about the ear mold issue?
Excellent reviews. I have had Phonaks for four years, and they are great. I wish my current Phonaks had a noise canceling feature. When I fly commercial, I remove my hearing aids and replace them with Bose active noise-canceling earbuds until the plane is back on the ground.
Hello Dr. Cliff, I wanted to know what do you rate the ReSound Ezno Q7 SP BTE hearing aids? I will be getting a CI for my right ear very soon and wanted to know if that hearing aid is a good pair or should I get something more upper tier. I would prefer replaceable batteries. I've watched most of your videos and you cover so much. Thank you keep up the great work.
Thank you for the updates on the best Bluetooth hearing aids. While i am not currently in the market for another pair, i do believe i made the correct decision when purchasing devices this year. Two of the ones in this video were on my short list when I purchased them March 2023. I have no idea how anyone survives without Bluetooth because it makes a lot of listening situations so much easier. I am considering an additional microphone for Zoom calls and meetings. The current microphone i have is good enough for one on one but i am hoping to find something more suitable for slightly larger groups. Thank you for all you do.
Great episode! I was having issues, when using Bluetooth, transitioning between iPhone and iPad, and visa versa. Getting a phone call while using my iPad would be frustrating as I waited for Phonak to switch from the iPad to my iPhone, sometimes requiring me to make it happen manually. Then, when my call was over, my frustration only increased as I waited for it to switch back. Phonak solved this problem by making it possible to connect two Bluetooth devices simultaneously and I love it! The one disappointment is with the app, waiting for it to re-connect when I initially open the app, I have select, stay connected, but I guess this feature is not working for me, ugh…
So how does the LE audio sound to the Nexia from your Samsung 23? Same or better than the new Oticon you just reviewed with the great range and sound???
Dr. Cliff, been a fan for a good while now. Learned a lot to ask our hearing specialist concerning REM (Real Ear Measurement) & Test Box testing, etc. A question that maybe you could help me with. I'm a working musician (who's unable to work due to my current hearing loss). I'm currently looking for a new pair of aids. Any suggestions for a brand out there that could work well for a working musician? I'm not so concerned about hearing recorded music, but to be able to hear the most realistically my acoustic guitar. I'm currently wearing the Odicon Opn S1's. Older technology i know. I would really appreciate any feedback you could get to me with. I'm sure I'm not the only musician struggling with this particular issue! Thanks & God Bless Ya Real Big!!!
I tried out the GN Resound Nexia. I liked it but the Bluetooth kept dropping. Assuming it was a bad unit I returned it. The provider wouldn’t extend the test period so I didn’t get a new pair and lost my deposit. I decided to try the GN Jabra Pro 20 after chatting with GN who said they were the same. The Jabra Pro 20 also drops Bluetooth connection. And when the phone wis in my back pocket it’s worse. It also has the #13 battery which I like but is bulkier. It doesn’t have the directional mic. Thanks Dr Cliff. Your information is so helpful 🙏🏻
I also am trying out the Resound Nexia with the same issue. The bluetooth keeps dropping when I am on a call. I am not losing the call, but the sound drops out thoughout the call. Very disappointing to say the least as I like other aspects of this hearing aid.
There was an article that I saw with the head of research. I reached out to her from that and to my surprise she responded to my simple question about the two brands.
Did you know anything about the Audicus hearing aids? I got the Lexie and I was not fond of it at all. Just made everything loud and not clear. I saw that I could send in my hearing test from the audiologist that I went to near me and wanted to know if it was legit before i give them my money. Thanks!
Will any of these hearing aids stream audio directly from the Apple Watch to my hearing aids? For example, will I be able to listen to a podcast that is playing on my Apple Watch through my hearing aids without my iPhone nearby?
Planning on pulling the trigger on new aides now and the more information I get the more confused. I planned on the Oticon real 1. I work out in loud music doing Zumba 5 days a week and then home and on my I-pad , phone mixed with some talking with my husband while TV on!! My hearing loss is moderate and my biggest problem is hearing in restaurants and in backround noise. The Oticon real1 is frustrating because you can only connect to one device at a time . Don’t want to make a mistake cause aides are very costly.
You can do a trail at most places. And try different ones. I got phonak latest life version and acitvent. I not apple person so at this tome only one that has 2 way on a andriod phone. Happy with them
I had a ton of ear infections when I was a kid and now my hearing is almost too good, loud noises bother me and I can hear the tiniest crickets across the street! My question is, I have what looks like the ear drum bone (a L shape) really pronounced and it is not inside or behind my eardrum it's in front. Is that something bad?
Hey Dr. Cliff, You said in the video above that you can give a ballpark price of a new hearing aids. I am interested in buying Phonak Audeo Lumity L90 pair of hearing aids. I live in Sacramento, CA area. I am looking for al cart service for fitting a anew pair of hearing aids. Thanks.
Dr. Cliff, Semper Fi and Happy New Year! Can you do a video explaining how us Vets can use shops like your instead of the VA for our hearing care needs?
I don't have severe hearing loss. I'm 30 years old currently, but I'm struggling to find a hearing aid that is for low hearing loss and a little more affordable for baby's first hearing aid. Lol 😂 Thank you to anyone who can help on here!!
I don't see a recommended audiologist in Southern Nevada for Best Practices. Can you make a recommendation for an exceptional professional in the Las Vegas/Henderson valley?
Hey Dr.Cliff - recently found you, as I’m about to get fitted for my first hearing aids in a few weeks here in the UK. Your videos have been super valuable, thank you for the work you put into them! I’ve been doing research and strongly leaning towards the Oticon Real’s as I have high frequency hearing loss (above 2-3khz it rapidly worsens to severe or profound loss), and I am mostly an Apple device user…however I work in tech, and so the ability to switch Bluetooth connections quickly would be super helpful. Any device you can recommend that combines Phonak / Resound style connectivity with the Oticon’s high frequency performance please?
I have Oticon Real and the Companion app works with my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra - Android phone with all if not most of the features you mentioned. Unfortunately I cannot control the hearing aid using WearOS smart watches. Hopefully in future Oticon will provide that compatibility.
Someone told me to use the machine for 2 hours or 20 hours Do / it will finish in just 4 days sir is it true / if after 5 hours of daily use and the battery doesn't last a little longer then the battery has to be changed again and again
Thanks for providing this new list of best bluetooth hearings aids for 2024. It is extremely timely for me as I am currently trying to find the best hearing aid that uses Bluetooth LE Audio to be future compatible and also has enough fitting bands to fit my high frequency hearing loss. Since the Resound Nexia is the only one that has the Bluetooth LE Audio feature right now in this list my question is would you say that the bluetooth streaming quality is detectably better than the other hearing aids in this list? I am trying to assess how long I am willing to wait for the other manufacturers to catch up to the new state-of-the-art bluetooth software for the future.
The problem is, not many other smart devices use LE Audio yet. You may have to wait until later in the year before even the Resound's even give you the opportunity to benefit from LE Audio.
Still running the b90s with Compilot air.. I simply couldn’t handle having an itc Bluetooth all in one without a separate controller. You’ll go nuts having everything it’s paired to auto connecting when u enter and leave a room. Trust me u need a remote
Can anyone tell me if any of the Bluetooth hearings can send audios separately to each ear? It seems they all just send to one ear, and that ear sends a duplicate audio to the other ear Kind of sad that telecoil mode is going away in a lot of the hearing aids which allows for each ear to receive separate channels.
So in case anyone in the future was wondering, the Lumity Naida L90s do come with Telecoil and Bluetooth. The bluetooth does allow for stereo sound signals, left channel goes to left ear and right channel goes to right ear. Though in my opinion T Coil offers better audio quality, Bluetooth does not appear to suffer from interference from power sources. Usually when using T Coil I would hear buzzing noises depending on how close to a strong power source I was. In the office I work at, there is a power line that goes near my area and when I walk by it the buzzing gets louder the closer I am to it, with BlueTooth I do not experience that at all.
I only use costom ear molds in my hearing aids because I hate domes and no domes even fit me,.. and because my hearing loss is moderate so it is definitely in that criteria,. I feel like domes are used wayy more than they’re supposed to be
Picking up my Resound Nexia Jan 3rd. I was hoping they wouldn't disappoint but just to confirm are you saying I won't be able to use the mic on the hearing aid for phone calls with Android even when using the new LE Audio Bluetooth?
I have had the Nexia 9 for a month and phone calls work well both ways with my Google Pixel 7a. I called Google and they told me the necessary technology, LE audio, is installed on Pixel 7 and 8 versions. I believe it is also available on a Samsung android phone version.
Thanks for the review Dr. Cliff. LOL, for me it's "nothing to see here, move along". First off, I am an Android user. I have never paid more than $200 for an Android phone, and they do everything else I need for a heckofva lot less than any iphone. Second, you started out saying that a lot of people want hearing devices that replace their earbuds. Why would anyone want to replace earbuds with these behind the ear devices that are a nuisance with glasses or if you have to put on a mask? Interesting info on the new Bluetooth formats, but from what you said the Bluetooth Classic still seems to be the best pick. I have upgraded my Kaiser healthcare for next year, and I am leaning towards the Signia Active X Pro.
People want to use their hearing aids instead of ear buds for the same reason people get transitions lenses instead of having both regular prescription and sun glass prescription glasses. It's annoying having to travel with both or switch them back and forth simply to make sure they can both listen to music and be able to hear at places like airports. I have smaller ear canals so behind the ear hearing aids are generally my best option. As someone with glasses and hearing aids I went a little insane with also having to wear a mask and ended up getting LASIK. Eyes I could do something about. Mask mandates and hearing loss I couldn't.
There isn’t one and never will. Unless surgeons can actually implant teeny tiny hair cells into our ears. Or another type of surgery in the brain or ear. I mean it’ll never be done.
I second that. Nothing like the real thing. Hearing aids are just that, aids. Kinda like crutches, they help, but not the same as being able to walk unassisted.
This should be titled "most expensive bluetooth hearing aids of 2024." The Phonak Audeo Lumity is absolutely NOT the most universally compatible heading aids at this time. There are MANY other bluetooth hearing aids that are compatible with ALL bluetooth capable devices. I'm currently listening to this video on my Windows PC with my Elehear Alpha Pros, which are less than 1/5 of the cost of the Phonak ones. And they also play from an Apple laptop, android phone and Apple phone. And you can talk through the microphones on phone calls, audio, or video messaging. There's literally nothing about the Phonak Audeo Lumity that is more compatible than that.
@@DrCliffAuD in what what is the phonak more compatible than the elehears - or pretty much ANY Bluetooth ITC hearing aids at a tiny fraction of the cost? The only difference is how much they're paying you to promote their products.
why do these “Made For iPhone” hearing aids not allow direct connection to laptops and desktops? I have Apple Airpods Pro 2 earbuds (which are definitely ‘made for iPhone’) which are Bluetooth LE Audio compatible, and i can use them on iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac and Windows laptops, desktop PC… so it isn’t that ‘oh, this isn’t possible with today’s technology’ - this is clearly a choice by manufacturers to sell extra accessories
I agree as my Phonak Naida's allow me to connect to any bluetooth device whether Apple devices, Android devices, or laptop devices. They do also have accessories but I am not required in order to use as an intermediary
If you have a newer MacBook with Apple silicon M1 chip or newer and have updated the MacOS to the latest version you will be able to use Made for iPhone (MFi) technology directly with your laptop without the need for a secondary streamer. This is a slight misstatement by Dr Cliff on using Resound Nexia with laptop computers. He’s correct for Windows machines and older MacBooks. In order to pair your MFi hearing aids with your MacBook, click the Apple logo on the top left of the your screen. Go into System Settings and then to Accessibility settings. There you will find Hearing Devices where you will have to go through a pairing setup with your hearing aids. Make sure to turn off and turn back on your hearing aids to create the pairing, click Connect when your hearing aids show up in the device list. You should be good to go to stream directly from your laptop. One note of caution. If you have your hearing aids paired with an iPhone and your MacBook, audio handoff is not seamless. Incoming phone calls and audio streaming on your phone will likely “grab” the audio stream from the MacBook. However, this is not guaranteed and have had to turn off Bluetooth on my iPhone and MacBook from time to time to get my hearing aids connected to the device I wanted to use. That being said, MFi hearing aids directly connected to my MacBook have been a game changer for all my work calls using Zoom, Teams, WebEx, Google, etc.
To many was it can use up the battery so hard to use it as a good thing. FYI software updates can change this after the last one battery doesn't last as long
Talking about signia aids and app is useless the hearing aids don't cross the warranty time and before warenty they lose the power to coup the problem of Haring loss with each passing day they lose the performance and the amplifiers get worse within no time and after reparing they hardly run for a week they are charging huge cost not less than thirty five to fourty thousand per piece and hardly run for a year I have been the victime of this company for whom the Dr is praising for nothing

I have had the Nexia 9 for a month and phone calls work well both ways with my Google Pixel 7a. I called Google and they told me the necessary technology, LE audio, is installed on Pixel 7 and 8 versions. I believe it is also available on a Samsung android phone version.
How much are they costing you?
@@richardmassey3877 Thanks, this is good to hear.
@@kathleencapalbo3508 Not sure, since surprisingly insurance is covering them in full.
dr cliff i need a help with my dad can u reply ??
Pricelist please .
I wear oticon more hearing aids and I don’t need anything to be able to stream from my iPhone or iPad.
I wish Phonak had M&RIE (because of it's classic bluetooth)
I am not switching to Apple just because.
How come no one mentioned Android phones that have LE audio.

Signia pure c&g t 7ax
I think lot of iung people not wearing hearign aids because they are visible. Please make video on affordable IIC hearing aids
When will Apple and Resound enable LE Audio for iPhone and MacBook? Audio handoff is a royal pain between the two using current Bluetooth technology.
Nexia offers handsfree calling wt ios and streaming from selected MacBook versions.
@@funtuber001 I’m specifically asking about LE Audio also known as Auracast. Not the current Bluetooth Low Energy that is supported.
enough videos about hearing aids . i just want a real cure for hearing loss in 2024 😔
Amen to that man.
Hearing loss is mostly irreversible…
Elehear?!? 😂😂😂 Move along.
My Phonak P 90 R aids use LE to connect to the TV device is this the same thing
Who manufacturers a hearing aid ,(and does not drink the apple poison) i have all android tablets and phone.
My ex wears hearing aids
You should have talked about battery life
To many was it can use up the battery so hard to use it as a good thing. FYI software updates can change this after the last one battery doesn't last as long
Talking about signia aids and app is useless the hearing aids don't cross the warranty time and before warenty they lose the power to coup the problem of Haring loss with each passing day they lose the performance and the amplifiers get worse within no time and after reparing they hardly run for a week they are charging huge cost not less than thirty five to fourty thousand per piece and hardly run for a year I have been the victime of this company for whom the Dr is praising for nothing
let them make phonak b titanium bigger battery because phonak is going to the bottom starkey cic caught up with phonak cic
the Phonak Audeo Lumity Life are absolutely amazing!
