    If I see a 10% surcharge on my bill, then you got your tip already. It's not my responsibility to supplement health care for employee's.

    Should just pay their workers fair wages, shouldn’t rely on tips. Ridiculous system.

      Good luck to them then. I'll be eating at home more often rather than pay more, I can't afford it.

    Add a service fee and that restaurant is off my list.

    No thanks, if the owner can't give a wage increase after all the government gave money out then shut the door

    Imagine paying 7 dollars for a hamburger just for your bill to be at 16

      Your math is concerning. 20% of $7 is $1.40 but I get your point.

      @@NICHOLAS-h1p$7 + fee and then get taxes on both lol

    Seems like a guaranteed 20% tip could disincentivize that hustle needed to provide excellent customer service and quickly turn over tables.

    Lol. Owner caused the wage gap then chargers customers. Interesting logic. He’s so righteous!

    Isn’t it a shame they have to step up to pay a living wage? Why underpay in the first place. I worked in tip share places and made less money as a server. I got tipped exceptionally but had to share with less qualified servers. And tip out cooks and bussers that made 3-4xs more per hour. Servers make 2.33hr plus tips and then still have to tip out because the owner doesn’t wanna pay the back of the house. In Oregon I made 9hr serving plus tips so tipped out 3%. That was the way to go!

    Is the number 1 rule of business to take care of your peasants, or is it to maximize profits?

    There isn’t a chance that I will an automatic tip. I’d walk out the door if I knew that up front. I worked in the service industry for 8 years. I believe in tipping well. But if I get poor service, I’m tipping 15% not 20%. I’m certain that restaurant makes a TON of money. THEY just don’t want to pay their staff well and are putting their GREED on our tab. And, everyone knows that say, Monday nights are typically slow. It’s not my financial responsibility to compensate for the OWNERS not paying a fair wage.

    I work as a custodian at the rowan-salisbury school system in NC and I have to work two jobs because they pay us below poverty.

      That shouldn't be legal, the minimum wage should be livable and should not have any exceptions. The restaurant should then just list the prices that can pay for that honestly. If a table ordered hamburger and fries cost $10 to cook, serve, tax and deliver a profit margin, don't put it on the menu at $7.50.

  • @martineyles
    @martineyles 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just make fair wages a legal requirement and make the prices listed on the menu the actual prices, inclusive of all service and taxes. Don't mistreat the staff and don't lie to customers.

    0:34-0:37: I wonder what he's closing his lips about..... My fake friend with his last name has sides with someone who hates me all linked to North Carolina and using me as a front for crimes perpetrated against my mother and my siblings accumulatively across the span of 1970's till now ...... Linking their crimes to my current phone to stop me from having justice for stealing my child which is in north Carolina and acting like my family is punishing Britney spears. The fbi was gonna give me a similar identity. Though they never spoke to me and my Fostercare placement had lookalikes takes my place. 0:43-0:47: Brook is the name I believe of the child. Which is strange since I live in Brooklyn NY. And I used to have a boss with the last name brooks from the island over here. Many communities terrorize people's children and stalk them. Then steal that child's child. All in the name of they feel they are entitled to. Constant lying and harassment, even identity theft and fraud. There is justice but many are polluting it.

    Even the Waffle House is doing this. I went there for a Togo order. 9.99 for the meal, 1.95 for the container and then on top of THAT auto 20 percent. (Yep, I have to tip 20 percent for the container as well and I got ZERO service. I watched the cook put it straight in the container.
