Screen mirroring without an HDMI cable is horrendous. This is my first projector ever so I am still testing multiple devices along with lack of knowledge in many areas. When I mirror through wifi, not only does it lag like crazy but it skips forward literally every 5 seconds throughout a whole video.
@@AskDaveTaylor hello. Thank you for your reply and continuing the discussion. No, I live alone in an apartment with a really good router and internet service. I did try to switch to 2.4 from 5 but it was worse.
The on screen keyboard doesn’t work with the TH-cam search box. Its ridiculous. Am I missing something? When I open TH-cam on the Luma, I open TH-cam and when clicking on the search box it doesn’t let me use the keyboard on my iPhone using the Luma app. Even if I open the keyboard from the app I can type but TH-cam doesn’t register. Any advice? This is a deal breaker for me because I watch this in bed and if I use the remote to search every video it would be crazy.
Thanks for mentioning the native res. I was duped. The 350 is not near as good as I needed/wanted for our bedroom where we watch movies on the entire wall. It’s REALLY grainy for me and the native app is REALLY BAD. Clarity is oddly better when using fire stick but still my $50 amazon projector was way better 😂 I am going to spring for the Luma 450 with 1080.
Yeah, it's really frustrating how projector companies make it hard to know the *actual* resolution of their devices, all instead advertising that they're "HD compatible" or "4K friendly" whatever that means. Let us know how the Luma 450 works for you, for sure!
I've contacted kodak and they sent a replacement but it started doing the same thing along with a flickering screen not even 3 months in and kodak won't do anything about it so I have 2 projectors that don't work and have the same problem now I'm out almost 400.00
You would not happen to know where one can get a replacement battery fro the Luma ... Seems when it's out of warranty the unit stops holding the charge and the only solution according Kodak is to replace it if you're still inside your warranty but if you are out of warranty good luck with that.. Still can't find the replacement battery..
How much have you used it that your battery is kaput? I don't have a suggestion other than to pop it open and see how the battery's fit in and get its identifying info off the case to acquire a replacement. Good luck!
Yes. The brightness of any projector is directly related to how close the projector is to the screen. This can be balanced out by having the room be darker: For a really big projection, turn off all the lights!
Thanks Dave. Helped me make up my mind.
If you pick one up, let us know how it works for you after a week or two!
@@AskDaveTaylor I will. Thanks again.
Thanks for the review.

Yeah, I would say that a wired connection is going to be your best bet. Is your wifi channel busy with other devices, though?

That stinks. Sorry you're going through that!
Check with your credit card company. My chase CC covers an additional year of manufacturer.
Great video! Thank you.
Great video! Thank you for the information!
Yes it does have airplay
Why is the image on my canvas is protected upside down? I’m using an Arkon stand.
That's a configuration setting.

So informative, thank you.
Great video, you helped me a lot.
Good review, thanks
Thank you for this Video.
Hi Dave. Are You sponsored by Kodak.? Best regards from Alf
They sent me the projector, as i disclose at the beginning. Otherwise, no sponsorship, just my honest opinions and evaluation.
Ok. Thank You.
I don't care about Netflix and Hulu...never watch. I want to use it for group presentations.
It would work for that but if you are projecting a large image, you'll need a pretty dark room, which might not be optimal for presentations.
My power button is flashing red and white and will not charge
Your laptop screen is larger than the projection 😂
Right, because I wanted to get the projection on camera. Obviously in practice you'd pull it further back to have a larger image! 🙂
@@AskDaveTaylor Does the screen wash out if you increase the projection another 1-2’ -in the same lighting that you demoed product?

@@AskDaveTaylor Thanks, Dave, great review and channel.
