IN the Old Style Lenormand deck there are 38 cards with two Men and two Ladies. Why? How do you treat them in a spread? Each pair has the same card number. Do you replace them? put together? that's a mystery....
Hello again :-) I must say that I always have a problem with a full deck spread - whether Tarot or Lenormand (or any other cards) as I don't feel it can ever be accurate for one key reason: the full deck always includes the challenging and difficult cards which are effectively "enforced" into the reading. If the reading is say, for one month or three months, the querent may not have any challenges or issues or conflicts etc in their future in the next month or three months. And yet, the reading predicts them just because those cards are there. Same goes for the positive cards, so this can never be an accurate reading. That's why I never use the full deck spread as it doesn't make any sense with all the cards included - good and bad. The maximum cards I will ever use is about 75% of the deck so for Lenormand that's 27 and for Tarot 58 - to allow the Spirit exclude from the reading the cards not relevant for the querent. What are your thoughts? :-) PS love this video! Are these diagrams with card positions available for download?
I utilize the near-far method of reading the Grand Tableau, and almost always have a question in mind. Not every card is read…just those in key positions near to the querent’s card, their partner, the opening trio, the corners, and around the cards that pertain to the question. (Fish for large sums of money, for example.) The Grand Tableau is more like a map. You don’t need to read everything, just the route you plan to take.

Phew...:-) I got a VERY good reading in my FIRST ever Grand Tableau spread following your guidance by the way, about my finances, which more importantly confirms the professional reading I had at the beginning of August, so that's promising. I've got a much better connection with Lenormand than with Tarot...I also thought of a useful trick - and took a photo of the spread which I saved on file for future reference and notes 🙂 Oh, I've got one more interesting scenario in my Grand Tableau - two cards were in their own house (the card number matched the house position). I feel this is a strong confirmation (perhaps destiny?) of the message of these cards. Would you agree?

You only use the basic 36. The extra Man and Lady are for same sex couples.
