      Not anyone scratch his head and then the next day opens a computer repair shop he's considered a repair-shop. so, we're talking about experience, dedication and seriousness. That's why I enjoy drinking my coffee while watching these very professional and educational videos. And I've learned a lot about motherboards

    When you said you were goig to pick one of those 2 caps at random, I just KNEW you would pick the left one. Simply because of the discoloration we saw on it before cleaning with IPA. It wasn't so random after all. It's called experience and an educated guess.

      I was wondering myself. if not ,out of curiosity how many caps can you remove and the laptop will still work

    • @loonysam506
      @loonysam506 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@hitenmitsurugi-ryu9880 It depends, from laptop to laptop. Lets say if you have to achieve 1000uF you'll have to solder 20 caps in parallel with resistance of 100uF each. Technically you'll get something like 101 to 103uF from each cap, meaning there's always a slight offshoot so, one or two missing caps shouldn't cause problems.

    Hey Friend, could you please make a video about Solder Pad Repair for Macbook M1 A2338? My Nand died, so i want to replace it. While removing old Nands 5 Pads got broken, so need to fix this now. I can only see little copper spots on Logic board (under the place where the original Pad sat before), so soldering Repair Pads is not as easy as i hoped (Solder does not connect to Repair Pads/Jumper Wire) - no joy. The next Problem: The Repair Pads need to be even, so that the Nand chip can fit properly. Dont want to make any experiments on my logic board loosing the little spots and would be happy about your advise. Thanks for your feedback Master NorthbrigeFix 😉 Greets from Cologne, Germany

    • @TerryLawrence001
      @TerryLawrence001 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      A manufacturer will make up a large capacitance by paralleling multiple caps. for example a 1000uF cap can be made from 20 x 50uF caps. One shorted will short all of them. Removing one will clear the short and lower the total by 1/20th. and still be in tolerance of a standard 1000 uF cap. Often the replacement of a new cap will do more damage and have a bigger risk than stopping the heat being applied to the board.

    • @TerryLawrence001
      @TerryLawrence001 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      also , in the case of a single bipass cap, the requirement is an over spec and usually redundant when modern well engineered power supplies are used.
