Eagles are fine, but the amazing thing to me is Kliff Kingsbury actually calling a Fangio beater in the month of December on that final scoring play. Baun didn't know whether to speed turn or not. It didn't matter. If he turns the other way there is still another open receiver. The only thing that could have impacted the throw was Carter rushing inside and deflecting that pass. I thought we had a timeout remaining and thought maybe we could have called a TO on that last play.
To be scouted by, mentored and coached by one of the greats at the position to play in this particular scheme...what better path has a young center ever had? 😂 Jurgens was a 3* TE recruit so he's even more athletic than Kelce! He's going to be a stud for a long time.
Jurgens is BETTER this yr. than Kelce was last yr. Kelce gave up a lot of pressure to big D tackles, part of MAJOR problems during collapse in 23' Unlike BG, they prolly wouldn't have brought him back as starter.
If the tackle doesn't false start and get back in front of Nolan Smith does that change the timing of the throw can Nolan get inside to make Daniels hesitate
Dunno, after seeing the All-22, seems like our D got a bit outcoached/outplayed on those key plays! Overall, I'm not concerned as i really do think the Birds just had an off day, but def gotta give it to WAS (depsite not previously beating any winning teams).
No one is going to want to talk about it but the reason they met their match playing with physicality is because they player the Steelers the week before. Same exact thing happened when they played the Ravens.
I think there is something to that. That happened to some teams that the Eagles played as well. The panthers got smoked by the cowboys the week after they played the Eagles. It’s a long season and games against physical teams take a toll. They take a toll on the physical teams as well.
The defense only played 20 minutes against the Steelers so that theory is unrealistic. It was 100% Hurts being out and the offense not possessing the ball and not scoring enough. 5 turnovers was more than enough for the offense to get TD's instead of field goals.

@@alexjadams1970what does that even mean? RG3 just wasn’t that good. The Shanahans designed a gimmick offense that worked for one year but then defenses adjusted and made him stay in the pocket, where he was terrible. There’s a reason he was out of the league by the time he turned 30, and it’s not because the Shanahans broke him, or Snyder killed him (whatever that means), it’s because he couldn’t play QB in the NFL. Hell, the 0-16 Browns team cut him. He’s a better media personality than he ever was a player.
It was so obvious that Kellen decided to stop the DE from crashing down by running out of bunch/tight formations and it didn't work. Then he spread them out to pass. It was very predictable.
@@InsideTheBirds Brown is very instinctive player.. perhaps enough to be in position to play that last ball......Blankenship has no footspeed whatsoever and got caught flatfooted on that GW TD .. any saftey with good instincts gets a hand on that ball
I am not sure why we were in 12 personnel a lot. My understanding it is to bring an extra blocker but what good is it when the T.E.s are not good at blocking. There were some obvious missed assignments on the o-line as well. I seen Becton not being on the same page as the rest of the o-line. Also seen Lane miss a couple. could it be a issue with changing signal caller. Perhaps they didn't get the right call or misheard line corrections?
Good analysis by Costell, not making excuses just giving facts.

Best thing washington did was paying the ref not to call false start on that final TD
Sometimes Thomas Hitman Hearns goes up against Marvelous Marv Hagler. Things happen. A battle of Wills.
Say what you want about Jurgens vs Kelce, but Jurgens is a very good traffic sorter.

Fantastic
They go beat by QB runs… that was the difference in the game… those fourth down scrambles which led to touchdowns

They never address stuff like that. Amazing

I agree. Will be a great battle between the Birds and Commanders for years to come

Would like to ask Costello if he noticed how dirty the Washington Defense is? They always tackle with at least one guy going in helmet first!
Who is Costello?

They had 50 in the box.
50?
@InsideTheBirds They stacked the box so Saquon couldn't run. It seemed as if they had 50 in the box instead of 10.
how come Sidney brown is not in that DB rotation. ?? he has great instincts

It was surprising that they didn't play more 11 personnel in the 2nd half just to take more defenders out of the box.
