SA Weather Service warns of severe weather conditions in large parts of the Western Cape

The South African Weather Service has warned of severe weather conditions in large parts of the Western Cape over the next two days.
Damaging waves, strong winds and severe thunderstorms are also expected in certain parts of the province.

I bought all my groceries for the month yesterday and because power outages since 4am I am watching all my meat defrost. As a pensioner this is devestating. I can't imagine what those in low lieing areas are facing....it must be so soul destroying. Add the fact that it is freezing. Soul Destroying. Like most pensioners we simply don't have the resources to deal with this and due to the incompetence of the ANC things are getting worse...poor medical...poor road and transport infrastructure and poor education...we are soooo screwed....

My son is on a church camp in Villiersdorp, theyre not sure when the bus would be able to get in to collect the kids. Contemplating staying another night.

just remember, flooding will be worse in developed areas, quicker run off, badly maintained, bad designed, badly implemented infrastructure projects, and blocked drains. Inclement weather is cyclical and will always seem worse because of humans encroachment into nature.
