I'll cycle nearly anywhere because I give zero f***s about getting in anyones way, it'll get me killed one day I'm sure. I think knowing that I'm quicker off the line than most cars will be gives me a bit too much confidence Well, apart from on Kingsway through the M60 junction, that's a hard limit!
Also, if you liked a certain track on the outward journey, but didn't make it as far as the return, your ears may take a shine to 10:21 for something similar :-)
Not wishing to sound like Jeremy Clarkson; but how hard can it be to protect those wide mandatory cycle lanes! Or give the cycleway priority at junctions etc etc etc...
Thought the "how it should be done" to finish was going to be tacking on the Royce Road Cyclops junction on the end :) Interesting vid. Only used the pop up further down towards Sale myself, and hadn't been able to explore the new tram line yet.
Jen..If you want a brand new road to test out - car free! On the 16th April from 5pm the new Congleton Bypass is being opened up to cyclists and predestinarians for the entire weekend before the 4 wheeled looney brigade are let loose on the 19th. Guess who's going to be there at the front of the queue. Both ends with be opened up at the same time!
It's on my radar, but it all depends on what restrictions are at the time. Congleton is stretching the definition of "local" from here, and also out of ebike range!
@@JenOnTheMove Living close to the Cheshire/Greater Manchester boundary I can assure you , there are plenty of leisure cyclists been crossing both ways. Since July I've not seen 1 cyclist being spoken to by Cheshire police. They are far to busy dealing with motorists sneaking over the border.That's their priority. Just don't go on the Cat N Fiddle, that's their favourite hunting ground!
Now that's a variety of cycle lanes, from life in your own hands on a Dual Carriage way, to pretend ones that are really pavements, to wibbily wobbily & a number of different paint jobs depending how cheap the paint was per ltr. 🤣 Keep up the great work. 👍
Cycle infrastructure in manchester is a parody of London cycle infrastructure - unconnected cycleways with dangerous areas and I'll thought put junctions most of the time oh and it goes nowhere
I really do like your bicycle ride video. Do you live in Manchester by any chance. I would like to go to Manchester one day. And I can spot Old Trafford Manchester United ground as well.
And with the new tram tracks that has been extended to Trafford Park. There are future plans to extend the Manchester Metrolink to Port Salford to the west of Manchester. And near to the border with Cheshire.
Seeing you not get lost amidst that chaos was like watching a magician perform a trick. I'm sure someone not as good a navigator as you would've had a pretty hard time finding their way. This is an awful cycleway especially for a country with good expertise on bicycle infraestructure such as Britain.

I think Jen has said (I think it on was twitter) car was written off a little while ago, and wasn't going to be replace for now.
I've still got more footage release, and I plan to hire cars in the future, but to be honest, my heart isn't in the road side of things anymore!

Very useful. A cycleway to a shopping centre that's never open and that sells things you can't carry home on a bike.
Are staff not allowed to cycle? Can you not cycle you the cinema there? What about all the things you *can* carry on a bike? (I.e most things)
