What's syllabi?
THIAGO more than one syllabus... like the page/packet you get at the beginning of the semester with information about the class and professor
i would not recommend to write syllabi in calendar because they will be changed throughout the semester unless you are using a digital calendar where you can edit them later
I agree with the notebook! I’ve used a five subject notebook since freshman year and I’m a senior now. It’s not only easier to manage but if you’re stuck on campus and let’s say you didn’t have biology that day but you needed to study...your notes are still going to be there!

For the notebook thing, i use two one subject notebooks per quarter. I divide each one into two parts (i take two classes a day) so i had one notebook per day. I havent had a class that fills my notebook so this really works for me and doesnt make my bookbag heavy at all!! Love ur videos btw!!
Omg, she talks as fast as eminem and that's pretty good because I'm learning english right now, so her videos are like a bit of a challenging for me, which is amazing for my listening skills in order to improve. I think I'm in the upper-intermediary level right now and videos like that (actually easier ones in matter of english comprehension) were a great resource for me to eventually leave from the pre-intermediate level ❤️
I'm not saying this to discourage you but your listening for an upper intermediate is a bit weaker than most ppl who belong in this category. Based on your comment I think your level is very good but just keep watching a LOT of TH-cam you have no idea how helpful that is. (I'm advanced btw) and I've been watching yt videos from a very young age. Right now everything just sounds natural to me as if I was a native eng speaker. Good luck! And no matter what don't get discouraged.
Thanks! I've been practicing listening for 4 months, I can watch to any tv shows and understand like 50% of them at the first time (the amount increases if i repeat the same episode over again). When it comes to this video, I don't think her articulation is bad, i just struggle a little because i'm not used to this kind of speed, i might understand quite well if u both talk fast and have a good articulation, but she talks REALLY fast for me.. Maybe u're right about the english level that i'm in right now, but i don't think that i'm still at the pre-intermediate because my passive vocabulary is about 10k words. Maybe my writing is at the upper-intermediary and my listening is lower than that, but not just at pre-intermediary aswell. Idk...

@@ivosiliprandi5994 yes your vocab and writing is very good I was just talking about the listening. But I think you're better than you believe yourself to be. Just keep trying! Your hard work will definitely pay off! 😊

I'm a sophomore in a community college with a major in Early Childhood Education. I have a binder that I put my syllabus/all course assignments in at the beginning of the year. Any handouts our professors/instructors require us to have/any information I think would be beneficial, I put in there as well. I put all of my passwords and login information (may be a bit risky if anyone finds my binder but it makes for easy access) taped to the front inside of my binder. I have folders for each class (I only take two classes per semester) and a central notebook. I use little colored tabs to gain easy access to any useful information in my textbook. I write down upcoming assignments in my planner, my calendar on my wall, and on scrap pieces of paper so I retain the information. :)

So on the topic of the word “syllabi”, you’re right to not like it. The use of an “i” for the plural comes from Latin, but my Latin teacher told my class that syllabus is not a real Latin word!! So saying syllabuses is totally fine and you won’t be wrong :))

I love the 5 subject notebook tip because you can usually get 2-3 semesters out of the same notebook!
P.S. i also plan out my weeks and allocate days for certain classes it’s a game changer and best way to stay ahead

I’m just starting year 7 which in Australia is the first year of high school I think these tips are great and so helpful for everyone however the 5 subject notebooks I disagree with cause teachers need to collect ur books sometimes

I don’t like 5 subjects notebook because I don’t have the same classes in a day so I don’t want to carry around this heavy notebook when I’m not gonna use all the sections. Also when I just want to focus on some specific classes to study, I don’t want to have to lug around the notebook
You should get the Five Star Flex Notebook. It's like a mini binder, but you can pick pages out that you don't need, or even add pages. They are revolutionary!!
Kathy Koh Ha thats the point of 5 star notebooks... you’re supposed to break the sections up based off your classes... So if u have 5 classes, u can literally carry only that 5 star notebook ...
Kathy Koh I was gonna say the same thing. The pages get all messy and crooked.
I just buy one skinny, hard cover notebook for each subject and it's honestly so much better
optimisticview I had one but It didn't work for me. And binders are a no no cause the pages rip out 😬
I feel this so much. I’m not a fan of 5 subject notebooks for this reason, but I still have the problem she mentions in the video when you buy individual notebooks and wasting paper. So I buy small journals for all my classes on sale at walgreens, target, barnes and noble. That way they're smaller and lighter than a normal notebook. Because the journal is smaller its easier to fill up. And If I wanted to bring one from another class to study later it doesn't take up much space.
