Oh my goodness, this is the best intro/overview video on Kubernetes. So far, Kubernetes had managed to keep me confused about it, despite having watched lots of very nice videos from recognized experts. I had mostly concluded that Kubernetes is perhaps intrinsically complex to understand. But hats off to you for going many extra miles to demystify Kubernetes for me and the tens of thousands of other professionals who would undoubtedly benefit from this video. Many thanks and God bless.
When you use auto-scaling for containers within a Kubernetes pod, you have control over which containers scale and how they scale. Kubernetes allows you to specify which containers should scale and which ones should remain constant within the same pod. This flexibility is a powerful feature of Kubernetes, and it allows you to design your applications in a way that best fits your requirements.
This is super neat and clean explanation ever what is cluster, node ,pod and containers!! That too in short period of time and clear diagram !! Lots of ❤
Usually not, you can use affinity to require pods to be scheduled on the same node or different ones. kubernetes.io/docs/concepts/scheduling-eviction/assign-pod-node/
awesome video, when preparing the content, do you sketch out sort of a mind map breaking down the subject into smaller pieces? like divide and conquer style of approach ?
this is my 3rd day on learning devops and i'm staring to understand the big picture of kubernetes. it was hard to grasp the concept for the firt time though.
1. control plane is managed by AWS 2. you have an option to use "serverless" kubernetes (fargate), no need to manage nodes at all, just create pod and aws will spin up 1 node for each pod

That's honestly one of the best videos on k8s I've seen, great job!
Thank you!

I didn't get that, you can't independently scale containers within a pod, you can only scale them together as a unit.
Love the videos dude. Probably the best kubernetes in 5 mins with a great amount of detail ever!
Thanks Peter!
This is super neat and clean explanation ever what is cluster, node ,pod and containers!! That too in short period of time and clear diagram !! Lots of ❤
Thank you!
Thanks
thank you!!!
Straight to the points! thank you very much!
my pleasure!
Thank you! best 5 min K8s video
Thank you Charmis!
Thats a great intro to k8s thank you so much!
thank you!
Excellent video. I've been learning kubernetes over the last few months and still get confused by architecture and lingo. This helps a lot
Thanks, but nowadays control plane usually is hidden from you and sometimes even nodes (for example in eks fargate) so makes it easier
@@AntonPutra Still always good to understand the technology you're using though
Man you are a legend thanks
haha thanks!
Wow, Thank You! This video was GREAT!
Thanks Sina!
Just starting with cloud computing, thanks for this video it really help me :D

Thank you!
Amazing video!
Thank you, Christian!
Awesome explanations thanks you
my pleasure!
Great info, thanks!
Thanks Daniel!
Thanks for the wonderful video. One quick question - Does replicas of Pods happens on same NODE ...
Usually not, you can use affinity to require pods to be scheduled on the same node or different ones.

Thanks very helpful and to the point
Thanks!
Useful. Thank you.
Thanks!
great vid. extremely helpful and on point
Thanks Ellouze!
To the point ,not a single milisecond wasted 👍
Thanks =)
Great video bro
Thanks!
awesome video, when preparing the content, do you sketch out sort of a mind map breaking down the subject into smaller pieces? like divide and conquer style of approach ?
It depends on the content; for these types of videos, yes. Then write the script and put lots of visuals :)
very clear sir
Thank you!
Great tutorial. Subscribed.
Actually goated video
Thank for knowledge sharing Anton. Could you do video about kubernetes security please. how to secure a whole kubernetes and all resources !
Sure, will do soon. Thanks for the suggestion!
Thks your video.
Thanks!
thank you
Welcome!
this is my 3rd day on learning devops and i'm staring to understand the big picture of kubernetes. it was hard to grasp the concept for the firt time though.
I also see the word "workers" thrown around when discussing our infrastructure. I am a little confused how that fits into this picture?
node == worker
Good content, but please slow down, had to check if my playback speed is normal :D I bet 8 minutes would still be considered as a short video.
Sure, thanks!
good video and info - but way to fast !! slow down....
good job
Best 😊
Thanks :)
what’s the difference between this and AWS?
1. control plane is managed by AWS
2. you have an option to use "serverless" kubernetes (fargate), no need to manage nodes at all, just create pod and aws will spin up 1 node for each pod
Good video, but the author speaks too slow. Would be nice if he spoke faster.
thanks, noted!
you're gong so fast! but good content thanks
noted
Looks like fireships video theme.
not anymore
Fireship but faster.
thanks for the feedback, new videos much slower
Very very fast for a beginner
noted
Not for beginners
well, it's close :)

😅
Awesome explanations thanks you
my pleasure!
