I'm glad I do not have that problem.
    For me the solution was:
    - I install a few games
    - I try a few out
    - uninstall after a while
    - then check what games I have the most achievement and enjoyed
    - I pick 3-4 of them
    - rotate around and slowly 100%ing them

Hey man if that method works for you then that’s awesome! I think I needed to go through the bigger effort simply because my backlog and game library had just gotten too large to even think about. I’m personally not to worried about 100%ing them but more just “finishing” them which can mean different things for each game

This really resonates with me. I stopped playing games about fifteen years ago because my career became too busy and intense. Then, five years ago, I met my now-wife, and between wedding planning and, later, the birth of our son two and a half years ago, gaming took a back seat. But at a certain point, I realized I needed a way to unwind, and reviving my old passion for gaming seemed like the perfect outlet.
I got a Steam Deck and some handheld retro gaming devices, but I ran into the same issues you mentioned in the video. About a year ago, I even made a spreadsheet to organize my gaming so I could stop wasting my limited free time deciding what to play and just focus on enjoying it. I’ve settled into a system where I have one game going on my Steam Deck, one on a retro handheld, and one on my Quest VR headset. Managing three games in parallel across different devices has been working really well for me.
I'll definitely check out your spreadsheet and keep an eye on your progress. Thanks for making this video!

Thank you for watching! I’m glad this video is hitting the intended audience, it was super annoying to me realising how much time was being wasted being idle on instagram instead of doing something I actually enjoy

For Steam at least I create a new collection called "1st" and populate it with all the games I haven't started or beaten yet. It's helped a lot to stop playing the same games over and over.

hell yeah that's another way that would definitely work especially if most / all of your games are on steam!

I have 3 collections. Play Me! To be continued and finished. In the first I put all new games. Once I played them but did not finish they move into the next. And when I want to start a new game from the first I have to finish a game from the continue one after that so it moves to finished. That way I gradually move my library through these 3 tiers. It's like a game in itself.

I had no idea you could make categories on steam so I just made some for finished games, currently playing etc and now I feel like thing are more organised

So now they're not really games but Tasks to be completed 🤔 I'm gonna skip the Spreadsheet and just go play some games 🤣🤣

Aren't all games just long lists of tasks or objectives at the end of the day?

I would like to argue that by organizing your brain and doing spreadsheets is a terrible idea... gotta ask yourself why do we play games? to have fun obviously, so why make it a chore with spreadsheets and quotas that needs to be upheld.... i dont get this logic. Its quite simple, play if you have time, if the game is fun, GOOD... if not just put it down try another game or maybe do something completely different
