HX sound way better I have them and like them a lot. I think the the S2 are the worst sounding headphones I have experienced. Lack of bass and a muddy mid bass. I returned mine to Cosco.
@ Mine had absolutely no sub bass, any bass was mid bass and it was thick and overpowering spilling into the mids. Not a pleasant sound signature at all. I’m guessing they came out with the revised model to try to help. I’ve have the focal bathys, Mark Levinsin 5909, BO H4 and HX as models to compare as well as 12 pairs of non powered passive headphones. I can only say from my experience they were the biggest disappointment and the muddy midbass was just to much for me to enjoy most tracks..
Here's the best advice you will get today,,, the b&w s2 is on sale at Costco for $199. They make the bose that are also at Costco for $199. Sound like mud. I'm buying 2
@awaknmyheart buy both and return within 30 days at Costco. I like the separation of Bowers, you may like Bose. You can spend the rest of your life trying headsets, but my point is for $199 the Bowers is a deal on the real deal.
Seen them at 60 percent off. That’s a give away price. Picked up a pair as a try out. Then will either upgrade in the future or use a tennis racket and launch them into the sea. Stay tuned…
What do you mean “if the batteries are out here, the B&W won’t charge them?” Out here where? Also, I would primarily want to use them at home hopefully wirelessly listening to music and secondly watching movies, can I do that?
What I'm talking about in the video is that if the battery is out, you can't listen to them wired analog or wirelessly. You can still use them USB-C connected because that will charge them at the same time. But via an analog connection or wirelessly, the battery must have a charge. Hope that helps.
How the sound performance comparing to the B&O HX? Thanks
Not sure!

@@DavidDiPierro A lack of bass? Very odd -- I found my pair to have quite-pronounced bass.

Well, what type of Bose were you comparing? I'm currently debating between the Bose Quietcomfort and These Bowers and Wilkens Px7 2S

You can buy it for $158USD in Australia right now
@@AussieMatias returned mine without even giving them a go. Funny how that goes.
