I think this was the first of his songs I ever heard when I was like 13. Changed my life. Had literally never occurred to me that it wouldn’t be a hit with everyone.
His fingerstyle, especially his strumming is so unique, just looks like he's playing blues (always use the thumb) , could you please make a video about how he strums?
Incredible. I finally figured out the intro the other night with the open bottom strings just below the ones played. Took me forever but was listening to the figure 8 tour version and finally really heard it. Geez... what a catchy song! I still haven't figured out clementine except I have a ghetto version on e standard tuning 😂😂 very ghetto. I guess it wouldnt be too hard to tune it to its weird tuning.

Thank you! I've mentioned this in a couple videos - recently the Good To Go video - but I've avoided using chord names bc Elliott usually doesn't use normal chord shapes. I think using chord diagrams is the best way to communicate his guitar parts, with all their cool quirks. If you have any specific questions I'd be happy to answer!
