Gotta live BC weather, lol. Great camera shots in this one. The old growth trees are pretty magical that’s for sure. Thanks for bringing us along on this adventure.
My uncle, Dennis Cronin found this tree, and he was the sweetest guy I ever had the chance to look up to, but unfortunately passed from Cancer. Rest in peace❤
Great drone footage of the tree🌲I still haven't gone to see it. I've driven by the sign many times that points to the road to take to see it😁 Looks like a good day out on the logging roads😊
Yeah it’s a lot more fairly well known now. Basically take Gordon River Rd then a right on Edinburgh Main across the bridge. Follow that to Doug! 4x4 definitely needed for the final stretch of road btw.
I used to wonder if these kind of trees were photoshopped and if they were really that big and then we went to Australia in the beginning of 2020 before the world shut down.... Anyways I got some pictures with some huge huge huge trees. Not as tall as Douglas firs of course but the diameters were way bigger my mind was blown.

I've been up to see him a few times. Standing there solo Doug is one amazing sight.

He sounds like he was a great man♥️
My dad worked with Dennis, I heard nothing but good things about the man.

Give lonely Doug a hug!
this reminds me how beautiful the island is outside the crazy downtown area
Love going out there such a good spot
Do you think a Honda crv would make it up that road?
If you have 4x4 or AWD, easily could
