Bryan and Rikki, I absolutely respect your enthusiasm and embrace of Mauritius and her culture. I hope we cross paths when I visit in November with my mum, sisters and niece. My dad is Mauritian and mum is English. They lived in Mauritius when we all grew up and left home for 18 years but returned to the Uk 5 years ago. Dad was 19 when he came to the Uk. Sadly we lost our dad 3 years ago, so we are bringing some of his ashes back and coming to celebrate his life.
You both look fantastic !! Bryan with a designer shirt and no sandals or trainers !! Looked so smart. Riki, wow wow wow, so beautiful and putting a saree on without any help is a MASSIVE achievement, well done you !!
Lovely!!! I'm amazed at the way and pace you have embraced the Mauritian culture .. keep it up, there's so much to it. The sweet thing is supposed to be eaten last and usually made from tamarind paste, with pineapple or even tomatoes, fennel seeds and some other spices... it was definitely not figs. Would have been nice for the waiters to explain how and when to eat it. Regards from Canada.
🙏🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺 Can't stop watching...to this wonderful video...so addicted ...my sincere respect loves and great salute to Bryan and Rikki... for this adorable share.... may God always bless you all...many thanks.... 🙏🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺
Usually with 7 curries i eat only the bean and the pumpkin but now as i watched your video it makes me want to try all of them thank you so much!❤💖❤💖❤💖
Wow Riki looks stunning in the Sari outfit and you look good too Bryan. Where is this place and how much would this traditional 7 curries dish cost? They should have provided bib to both of you. It would be unfortunate for curry to get on your nice outfit. Watching the video making me hungry.
Great video man! Love the feast hahaha😁🍛 Would you consider doing a video on top food markets (for eating & grocery shopping) in grand baie??🍏🍎🍐🍊🍋🍉🍒🌶🍠🍞🍯 😊 It would help us out a lot as we are travelling soon!🤗🤗 - Jacqueline ✌
Grand Baie doesn't have a food market, we all shop in 'malls' the closest markets are Goodlands and Triolet, about 10 minutes away. We did do some videos on them.
Green stew is brede songe - tarrow leaves, it's not chutney but kuccha - either with raw mango, or fruit chitere (june plum, or golden apple) depends where you are in the world or green apple kuccha, raw pawpaw kuccha. The bean is butter beans. Chutney is pureed usually, kuccha is not.
Based on the thumbnail i thought u were invited to a wedding 😄 some of the curry are found in your everyday rotis and you did not even notice ☺️ your first time in saree ricki? U’ve been there since a long time now but anyway u were looking great!
Riki look attractive in her sari. The seven curries lack dhol brinjall, rason and green beans . The food could have served on a plate. The puri look oily. Regret that you have not been able to eat the food completely. If someone invite you for a wedding it would be different.
Sorry didn’t liked the way .They did serve you . Normally u sit at the table .They come & serve you . Then u decide which curries u want . Normally people take purée & curries or rice & curries .IF u want more they come & serve u . follow with the sweet dish .
