  • Wisdom, a Laysan albatross (or named Moli in Hawaiian) is the oldest known banded bird in the wild. Wisdom, (left) steps away carefully from her egg to let her partner take his first incubation shift. Soon afterwards, Wisdom headed out to sea to feed and rest from the arduous task of mating, growing and laying an egg in less than 48 hours. She breeds on Midway Atoll National Wildlife Refuge within Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument. Her 30th something chick hatched on January 29, 2025!
