My son does 5 grand pulls down my driveway in his 82 Datsun 210 wagon that we cherry bombed and added a hater pipe, pointing up and out just behind the rear door. My neighbors LOVE me. Fortunately he has recently bought his own house. But I’m about to start work on my 64 comet, which I’m considering leaving straight piped. 🤷♂️
I want the nasty sound of straights on the 65 Galaxie but dont want the hassle and stink eye of the local PD when Im driving through town so I bought a set of electric cutouts to put before the flowmasters. Flip a switch and go from a deep growl to a insane hown in a second hahah.
First off, anybody who hasn't made a mistake hasn't really tried to do anything. It's just part of the process. Secondly, I think you need to treat yourself to a new monitor so you can see us better on the next Zoom call ;)
Jeff..... I have screwed up multiple times in my 57 Years!! Cam's solution is probably the best for the situation. BTW, Cam looks like he's losing weight! 👍👍 Carmine ✈🚂🚙
Hey! It says ot about you by owning up to making a mistake, that why we learn so ! I think about you now as am honest person keep the good Videos coming
How about the ride going from four leaf to 5 leaf? I know my 69 is stiff. Do they make a softer set of five leaf springs. I just got mine from a spring shop.
good on ya.... we all make mistakes in life.. the true test is owning up to them so.....while your owning up to mstakes....there is one you guys can rectify... its as simple as getting a Starliner on here and NPD can start making parts for it. see.....mistake rectified...everybody wins!!!
Jeff, Brother, Screw ups are part of the fun hahaha. Hell every rate once in a while when doing something that is actually a screw up you find a better way to do it that somehow evaded the designers. It's rare but happens. "Im Totally Stupid on Galaxies" As soon as it either warms up or I get the heater in the shop hooked up I will be going over the resto on my two Galaxies by the Factory manual and uploading it to my TH-cam Channel so Stop on by. I will let you know when we're good to go. Galaxies are pretty simple and if you have Fairlane exp you pretty much have Galaxie exp for the most part. I chose the Galaxie simply because of one reason. Hello 9" rear. I mean with a Galaxie if the project car turns out to be a real pig and you can't really fix it you can strip the trim and rear end and make your money back plus some so it's a good platform.
Hey there, off topic guy again. I asked about my original A/C from a 69 f250 390. Turns out its hard to sell. If yall at Autorestomod want the whole thing ill send it in, you guys just gotta pay shipping. Let me know if you are interested.
Hell no big deal ain't like you putting on the wrong quarter panel on a car it cut the whole damn side off I see a lot of mismatch on parts that's just that's just things over the years you'll find out
u guys so deserve 100k, im pushing for yall
Please do! Still want that hunut thou.

If you got it right the first time its because you did it before....
Lol I see a 72 inch excuse in my future...
So if I cut my leaf springs in half and install a panhard bar will that do the job I have 5 leaf springs and will it ride like an A body ?
I am new to Camaro to Camaro I have a 68 my question is do they have a stud on the rear end so the rear don’t trist or move I have cal trac mono leaf
so what was the inetal problem with the springs?
No worries I wouldn't have known it needed and extra leaf
Could you just install a cheap add a leaf kit to fix it?
We could, but prefer to do it according to plan.
A) Good on you for manning up! 2) Great advice on keeping to one kit C) TH-cam mistakes bring out the trolls.....*****BEWARE****
But I have Glamdring...
Your videos are very helpful
That you!
Love car esoterica. You make less mistakes than myself.
Possibly not. Lol we love that esoteric too.
What you really learned was...Never trust the owner to supply the correct parts!
We've all been there.

What happened with camerons mustang? Have not seen it for a while.
He's had life get in the way (bought 20 acres and a house waaaaaaay out in the booniez) we plan to jump back in as soon as possible.
Get that long roof back on the road!! It's so sweet 🍻
We are, hopefully on Thursday y'all will see a first drive!

Auto Krafters carries our stuff we just don't got the car...
Can’t you just make a spacer the thickness of one leaf and add that to the bottom of the spring pack?

Yeah, we are ready to really jump on the Battlescared Galaxia, soon...very soon.
@@AutoRestoMod What yr? I have access to several parts cars 65-66. Lemme know if ya need bits or pieces.
I would sell those springs and buy the correct ones you need. Done. BTW, those aluminium blocks look silly as hell.
We are.
Are you kidding, mistakes, yeah I've made them. I put a 350 in a Volkswagen...
You mean you put a bug body around a 350? LOL.
That sounds more like fun than a mistake Paul...
made a ton of mistakes along the way. would have learnt jack if I hadn't :)
Yup.
I'm with Cam on the exhaust :p
You are just trying to get me in trouble.
@@AutoRestoMod who me?..... I'm just an innocent bystander.
I saw this on a t-shirt years ago , I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
Lol.
Just add another lower spring and add it on
Good thought. We found out later that here was another part he was missing.
Nice
Yup.

I believe the Z28 Camaros had four leaf springs.
Literature I have read says five on performance cars, but I've been wrong before...
Hopefully they can edit the old video incase someone is out there following their tutorial step by step lol
Not on TH-cam. All I can do is make a card for it.
Learning by doing 😆
Always.
Camcours Incorrect restoration. Squeek---squeek... *bump* sqeek-squeek!
He hardly hears the squeaks...
forget the leaf's, look at that orange peel xD this guy bought the wrong car to skimp on parts and labor
He didn't. Just learning the process.
so 1st mistake was getting a Camaro?
lol 😆
