WARNING, I am writing a wall of appreciation text without anyone asking: Videos like these are the reason I got into semi-anarchy servers in the first place. The concept of the server being all community driven without admin input creates the best stories and groups. A server becomes its own world with its own history. The groups and its members literally create the world they play in. Even though I never really played on Specterium besides walking around spawn for a few hours trolling non UV players with my "mod powers" as a "no name", I always appreciated the server for its past history. I'm very happy you made a video on Specterium, shining a light on the history of a world that no longer exists. It'll exist through your video and the wiki now. The editing that went into this is insane. There are small things like YT credits on the bottom right or effects on the text that shows up on screen that some viewers won't even notice, but they're all necessary and overall makes the video the S tier it deserves. You took your time on this one and it shows. Imo this is your best work so far. Thank you for the upload! Disclaimer for possibly worried UV players: Specterium shut down due to inactivity after Edok kept it online for months on life support provided by his own wallet and UV. UneasyVanilla will never shut down. Don't worry about this:)
This is also the reason I love being an admin on UV and other servers like EUS (although sadly I've been inactive on EUS, my bad). I feel personally happy that I can help players get these experiences for themselves like I got them when I started playing these sorts of servers. Creating and sustaining the community on servers like these is for me personally the best part about it.

amazing video! you did mix up a few things (some members and some events like the team v bases law griefed were all already abandonned and law didn't give away 50 kits but paul did on his main account, also the operation mirage wasn't really a succes as team V people quickly realised shrang was sigma's alt and kicked him out of the group before he got any coords) and the entire babylon team V situation seems a bit one sided while in reality it's a bit more complicated and team v wasn't really a team that just griefed and killed random people all the time. After Nova Castra got griefed, Team V and Babylon made a new base together: Dunharrow, aguably the last real mega base on the server. But besides that i really enjoyed this video, i made me very nostalgic
Why hello! Thank you for making this video! It was super cool to watch all of our escapades through out the time Specterium was online! I have a special thing to add with the whole Lawrence St thing though. This is not as known but while Team V was in The second alliance, I was not very trustworthy. Law and I had a sort of “In private I am your friend but in public we are enemies” sort of dynamic. I wanted Team V gone, as revenge for Storm killing me while I was afk at spawn (we were both in the alliance when that happened) and just because I didn’t like them. So I worked with Lawrence, I didn’t know who he actually was funny enough but I did help him by giving him coords of my base, Jieta which he could hide at. Which funny enough I showed Paul this base and he was like “yeah you told me about it” but I never mentioned it to him. I didn’t actually put two and two that something was amiss until later when in the discord Paul confessed. So when Lawrence went out of his way to chip at and destroy the Reunion Castle, Triggeredcat dm’d me first and told me to go stop Lawrence. I obliged. We had this anime cutscene of sorts where Law said “I don’t want to fight you Silent!” and I said “I know but I have to!!” And so we fought. Eventually, Miljandro and Eccentricat showed up and I finally relaxed and logged off until Lawrence returned. I chased him and while I was typing down where Lawrence was he killed me. I immediately dm’d Lawrence and arranged a spot where he could give me my stuff back. He gave me everything back and I eventually told everyone he was heading to spawn and he was going to nether. However, I like Miljandro so I decided to warn him that Law was planning on trapping and killing him because of he was a member of Team V. Eventually Law was driven away for the rest of the day but he eventually did destroy the castle. Long after this, that was when Paul revealed he was Lawrence. If you’d like me tell you more stories of Babylon lmk.

Here’s a funny story about how Team V fell apart. So, after the Second Alliance disbanded, Babylon and Team V were effectively enemies in a cold war. I thought it would be cool to get some allies for Babylon. And wouldn’t you know it, The Templars had their base griefed by Team V members Michi an Perstrix and their co leader Commander Cody was killed by them. So I left a message on Dux’s Templar account on Fandom but Razok was the one who got me in contact with Dux. I made a deal with Dux (well the whole what the Templars would give to Babylon part came about later), I made four shulkers filled completely with netherite helmets, chest plates, and boots and gave it to the Templars. In return, Babylon gained an Alliance with the Templars. This actually lead to Dux creating an alliance discord and then Dux asked if he could invite Razok and his group The Resistance. The Resistance was an Anti Team V group that had been waging war with Team V so when Razok joined, Babylon gained a new ally. This new alliance gained a name “The Covenant” and at first Athenasthong (but I’ll call him Hank) didn’t want the alliance to become an Anti Team V alliance… it became an Anti Team V alliance. The Resistance kept doing its thing until one day, it became known to all of the Covenant that Michi was at spawn. So me, Dux, Mopplkotze, and Razok went to spawn and we started to attack Michi. Michi started to fly so he could get away but we still caught up to him and swarmed him. We didn’t get to kill him but the fact that we made a Team V member scared and we almost killed him was enough to make us happy. So we went to the Fire Dome, and we started to dance and party. Eventually, Team V members started showing up, but not to fight us… THEY STARTED TO PARTY WITH US. Michi eventually cautiously showed up and started to party with us. How we were all so chill with them showing up is not something I’ll understand. So everything is going fine until the Team V member Storm “jokingly” told the Resistance member Mopplkotze to kill Triggeredcat who was now a team V member. Mopplkotze obliged and killed not just Triggeredcat but also the Team V member 0xed. This is the start of the end for Team V. Mopplkotze cheerily reported what he had done in The Covenant discord and we all kind of just laughed it off. While this was happening, Triggeredcat and 0xed were furious with Storm and were made even more furious when the leader of Team V, Liquidity defended Storm. Triggeredcat and 0xed left Team V and this eventually lead to all Team V members except Weiczor and Royschueten (I have probably spelt their names wrong) leaving. All the former Team V members then formed Who Delet. Now, Triggeredcat had actually called me and told me the news and he told me that he was going to try and get the group into the Covenant. So Triggeredcat talked with Dux and eventually with a vote, Who Delet was let in. However, for a bit they didn’t have all the privileges that other members had. And there was a bit where Razok banned all of them for some reason but then they were brought back and Razok had his banning privileges taken away. Then Who Delet had all their privileges given to them making them fully a part of The Covenant.
Do a history of TeamV next, that group had quite a history on spec too. However I feel like there was a missing force to this video, namely Razok/Thefat and all his failure groups vs TeamV which while not the focus of this video I feel explains a lot about a good portion of the times TeamV was supposedly camping spawn killing 'randoms'. I also dont really remember TeamV camping spawn apart from during the inVursion because I remember spawn being dead most of the time like UV's was/is. Edit: Otherwise good video.
yeah I tried to keep out many details as to not make it all too confusing and long. Might do Team V video at some point, but would need the help of Team V members and world downloads etc. Glad you enjoyed!
This is super cool. I came across this while playing on a realm I made about empires and ironically I founded the Babylon Empire and made a decently big base that's about 3000 by 2000 blocks
