Estro: Grind Trucks and Slide blocks just make tricks like 50/50 grinds easier there's tricks you can do without them! Estro: *proceeds to 50/50 all over the backyard like it's no big deal*
Wow, I totally didn't know you could do all this on a nylon plate. I just bought new wheels for park skating but couldn't afford new plates and was worried I'd be limited!
Skate asmr is the best. I just started the basics of curb stalling on my stock narrow trucks. Best friend and I have noticed the park skaters skating wide. Thank you for info. Queen Estro
Hey there! I skated in my lollies on the stock plate at the park, not going easy, for about 2.5 years before the pivot cup broke and I replaced them...with another set of nylon plates. I think the stock plate on the Lolly gets a bad rap. If you are beginning your journey, it is a perfectly functional plate and there is no need to spend 150$ on metal plate. I replaced my thrust plate with sunlites which are also nylon, but supposedly stronger. They were only 80$ and feel great. Just don't worry about it. It is a mental barrier that will prevent you from pushing yourself. You got dis!
@@moxieoxenfree2872 Thank you so much, that's so comforting to know. I've never park skated on a nylon plate before and as a plus sized person I feel like I have to worry about these things.
Cool because I’m not ready for grinding yet 😂😂 Still working on pumping, and transitions in the bowl! Not even confident enough to post videos😂 But my CIBs Will be Here in February ish
New to your channel but loving all these. I grew up skating and did some inline on ramps back in 90s. Haven't been on skates in ages but still skateboard and see some crews of roller skaters come to our indoor park and its fun to watch them shred and learning tricks. My daughter and her friends got a crew of skaters and could see them picking this up as well. One of her friends mom used to do roller derby and think still has some skates kicking around.
Thanks for this awesome list and easy to access chapters for each trick! I’m going to try the stall with one foot on the coping, and one heel on the coping tomorrow ❤️❤️❤️
Love me some unity stalls. That tabernacle was 😱😍. I’m still learning how to backside so I wanna try to backside slide because ooooh that backside acid is so killer. The color coordination of your outfit is just delicious. It’s like a Starburst candy fantasy and I love it. I swoon over every single second of this video.
I tried a shifty stall and ended up at the ER last night getting stitches in my chin. But I did manage to do it! This video has so many awesome ideas for someone like me who can’t afford the modifications yet.
OMGEEEEEEE Estro Jen you are such a BADASS!!! You inspire me sooooo much! I just had a 4' halfpipe built in my backyard and now I have so many goals, thanks to this video. ;-)
I'm sending my local cib crew over here to subscribe. SO MUCH GOOD STUFF!!! Thank you for creating this killer content and helping us dream of skating like a roller queen like you! Vert videos please! So little is out there for getting quads up on vert & it is so dangerous without instruction so that is my content request. Camo out!
🤘🏼You’re straight grinding ....☠️ seriously shreddin ☠️!!! Your energy is magnetic 🧲 and I hope to be as good as you are one day 💛! Thank you for being you and sharing it so people like me can learn and have something to aspire to. 🧡🛼☠️
Beautiful! Its cool to see what you can do without slides! I don't have slides im still a beginner, but when should you get slides and what skills can slides help you do better?
everyone progresses differently, what helped me was having a friend who could point out what i needed to improve/not do. If you don't have roller skating buddies you can film yourself and compare it to slowed down clips of people doing the tricks! :)
WOAH Such a great video, Estro! and thank you for the detailed description. I never knew I could do all this with my stock lolly plate and no blocks :) I was wondering if you recommend upgrading the Lolly plate for the skatepark/ before getting slide blocks? I have heard some people say that you should switch to a different plate than the nylon thrust to prevent it from breaking from park use. I want to get blocks but haven't yet because I don't know if i need to upgrade my plate first? Idk! Thanks
YES hell yes. I in no way can afford a skate upgrade, so I'm stuck with my old trusty R3s with presto wheels. They serve me well though, I really want to attempt the BS/FS 5050s, but I think I have to get a bit better at just stalling on the coping first 😅. Really great video, Michelle. Thank you!!! :D
When you were first starting out doing ramp skating, how did you practice getting comfortable skating with the coping? I want to try these tricks but I have no clue how to start. 😯
"A video was suggested on TH-cam where it shows Estro talking/showing footage about how she was a stuntwoman in a movie.. And than I thought about how little I have done with my own life. 🖖😆"
Estro, can you please give instructions on combining tricks. I feel like I never know what to focus on when I get on a ramp and lose momentum when I'm coming off from a stall.
Had to send some skates back to get replaced and I won't be able to use my blocks on my old skates, so this is super helpful! ;u; I'm just gonna start with tiny baby stalls tho lol
Wait so I can do grinds without wide trucks? :0 Also, does anyone know if doing tricks w out slide blocks will ruin my plates? I have yet to get slide blocks but I stall without them
It depends if your plates really touch anything! If they’re metal, you should be ok but if there plastic or anything that gets easily scuffed, maybe limit the tricks if you want to keep them in shape!!
Am i just too much of a Star Wars fan or is it really possible to make a skate boot that transfers to ice or roller skates with just the press of a button?
I love the noise of roller skates on ramps so much😌
It’s literally the best sound lol
😮LOL
$$$$$$$$$lol🤞🏻💪🏿🍉🦴

Thanks for not putting music, this totally gave me asmr lol.
I love how you’ve so clearly demonstrated what it means to bring creativity into our sport in this video. Thank you, Estro!
I appreciate that! Thanks!
Yes
Wow, I totally didn't know you could do all this on a nylon plate. I just bought new wheels for park skating but couldn't afford new plates and was worried I'd be limited!
As I watch you skate, my second thought after “you make it look so effortless” then “ I want to be able to do that one day”....💪🏻
I love how your videos have minimal editing and it feels so personal, thanks Estro Jen you’re one of the best out there!!
Estro bringing light and positive energy EVERY TIME!
They go by they/them pronouns!🤧
@@panbimbo477 I feel so sorry, I did not know. Thank you for informing.
This is amazing I haven’t been able to get slide blocks so this helps a lot!!!
big fan of rollerblading inspired tricks
The little bails were so cute hahah

Wow. That I can theoretically do all these tricks. I’m pumped!!!
So nice, I had to watch it twice. - Justice Constantine
Ahh!! I'm living for the all orange setup!!
Amazing video! So many things to (eventually) try. The sound of skates on ramps is so nice, honestly could fall asleep to it.
So cool to see you do this on stock lollys with the bowl bombers! I was so afraid I'm gonna crack the nylon plate.

your ankles must be so STRONG omg!!!
Love that you put a channel in the Vert Ramp !!!
Would love to see a sidestance tutorial in the ramp/bowl like Duke Rennie!
Great suggestion! Ill ask him to make one with me !

grind tricks are my absolute favorite :) can’t wait to get those whoops tricks in while practicing these!

Love this style of video! And it just goes to show ya don't need to spend $1000+ bucks on a setup to skate like a pro.
This is exactly what I was looking for, for a while now. Thank you so much for making this video!

Cool!
Hey Estro, as always...love these videos. What is the hardness rating on your skates?
Jen has that face 😍😩

Do you have any tips for doing 50/50's on the coping with stock parts?
The one at 3:05 is wild.
These high white socked feets are most cofortable and soft for good roller skating with them
💕💕💕
But the wheels do make a difference, right?
Wait so I can do grinds without wide trucks? :0 Also, does anyone know if doing tricks w out slide blocks will ruin my plates? I have yet to get slide blocks but I stall without them

Yes you definitely can skate I'll give you that only thing you're missing is a little bit of Michael Jackson music and that's pretty much it
Am i just too much of a Star Wars fan or is it really possible to make a skate boot that transfers to ice or roller skates with just the press of a button?
Its showing green screen, only sound.
Think I'll save my pennies so I can buy wide trucks and grind blocks otherwise the only thing I'll be grinding is the exposed threads of my king pins!
The king pins grinnddddingggg- thats the sound that is most obvious to me in this!
Are you sure you're not Michael Jackson's daughter
lol, shred much?! wow...
