    That legroom at the tables is only roomier if you don't have someone facing you. I took Premium from Orlando to West Palm a week ago and that Smart menu isn't what they serve in Premium as free choices. It was a lunch & just one choice. A sandwich with a small Caprese salad. I paid $229.00 one way. The fares can be variable & have seen Smart fares start at $79 & go up to $184.00 (on one train). The highest that I've seen on Premium is $289.00 one way.

    This was useful. Thanks! I'm on Wonder of the Seas (Port Canaveral) in May and, upon debarkation, will need to get to Port Miami for a Carnival cruise on the same day. I'm thinking I get off WoS by 8am, and take the 9.50am Brightline which gets into Miami at 1.15pm. And the Carnival ship has a sail away time of 3.30pm. Would it be too risky?

    • @RoyalCaribbeanCruiseChronicles
      @RoyalCaribbeanCruiseChronicles 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s not the most efficient way of transport from PC to MIA unless you have no other way. It’s a 45 minutes drive west to the airport so it’s going out of the way. I’d search for some kind of shuttle from PC to MIAMI.

    Does it feel fast like a roller coaster riding it?
    And is there a transfer stop between Miami to Orlando? Or is it a straight train (no getting off) that is 3.5hr trip

    • @JDiZzL31
      @JDiZzL31 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Also, how far is the brightline to the port of Miami? We are considering it post cruise leaving Icon and going to Orlando for a few days before flying back to CA.

    • @RoyalCaribbeanCruiseChronicles
      @RoyalCaribbeanCruiseChronicles 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The train rides fairly smooth over all. A little wobble but not too bad. It’s hard to tell when we are going 125 MPH.
      There’s stops (very brief) in West Palm Beach, Boca, Ft. Lauderdale, Aventura, and Miami.
      Uber from station in MIA to Port Miami is free if you have the Premium ticket. It’s only 10 minute ride. It would cost around $15 if you took Uber on your own.

    what was the cost vs. flying?

    • @RoyalCaribbeanCruiseChronicles
      @RoyalCaribbeanCruiseChronicles 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      For this date it was about the same cost to fly. They do have dynamic pricing and it gets more pricey at times. But so does plane tickets. I think they watch the plane fares and try to get as much as they can. If the plane fares are higher, the train fares will be higher. Case in point the week of Thanksgiving. I’m doing another video after next week trip. This one will see just how much I can take advantage of the premium fares by adding up all the things I get included.

    If you’re going to book an Uber and traveling in SMART class, check the price through Brightline and on the Uber app before booking. Ride was $23 to the WPB station from my hotel on Singer Island, but only $14 booked directly through Brightline! Only thing is that you can’t tip Uber drivers through the app when you book through Brightline, so bring cash if you want to tip them. I ended up giving my driver a ridiculous number of quarters😂

      @viarnay It's a transportation infrastructure service for the country, just like roads and highways.
      Spain has the 2nd largest HSR network in the world and it continues to expand. A few months ago the opened a route to the Northern province of Asturias that goes through a mountain range.
      The USA, by comparison, has slow moving trains. This Brightline train has an average speed of 69 mph! That's pathetic for the richest country in the world.
