@@MatPandaZ just came here to back you up, because you are 100% correct. They use backtracks, just not for main parts that are obviously live. I am thinking that's what @toobigforjapan meant to say, otherwise it's misinformation. Not only that, the guys in this video weren't even discussing "playback", they were talking about music videos of studio versions set to live footage, like Kill or Be Killed and Resistance for example (or Euphoria, Liberation, We Are F****ng F****d)
Muse are insane. And very Unique. They can never be compared with any other band . Ever. I am a HUGE Muse fan. I have listened to them for years. When i was in rehab they saved me i swear.
The reason Matt Bellamy can sing with that falsetto and incredible vibrato is that his vocal cords are unnaturally small so they can vibrate much, MUCH faster than the normal person's. He used to be really self-conscious about it when he was younger, then he turned it into his strength.
This whole Hullabaloo show is great, used to be my go to hype DVD for the 5 shows between 2004-2010 they actually came to NZ for. Any song from Hullabaloo that you haven't already done will be great but I'll just throw out there Dead Star or Citizen Erased which are my personal faves.
Got to shout out Showbiz and Space Dementia from this tour too. But yeah, great show, and actually kind of like that they didn't have a massive stage setup then as well.
Imagine literally have thousands upon thousands of paper it's across your body, these are the vocals that optimise micro cuts, also the lead singer is Matt Bellamy - the next song I would recommend is Showbiz but the studio version he hits the highest note they've recorded
So glad you reacted to muse. They really are an incredibly talented band. I wish they could blow up here like they did over in Europe. Bellamy is a genius. One of the best live performers and frontmen alive. Glad you guys can appreciate a band like this. Next reaction that I will harp on from here on out is Volbeat: cheapside Sloggers. Thanks and Happy New Year guys!!!
if there’s something matt bellamy is gonna do is SING that man is one of the best vocalists ALIVE I hope he gets the mainstream recognition he deserves in the US eventually bc he is phenomenal especially live
I think this was filmed at Leeds Uni..... I was trying to carry a massive round through the crowd on a tray.... realised my mistake and stood at the bar and drank it all
Matt Bellamy is the amazing lead singer. Looking forward to June 23rd this year when they return to Scotland for a huge outdoor show. I saw them for the first time live in 2016 and they were mind blowingly good. They never fail to disappoint when it comes to their music and their shows. If Muse ever comes close to your neighbourhood, go see them you won't be disappointed. 🤘😆🤘

Hi guys love your videos. As someone who's favorite two bands are nightwish (watched them live at Wembley in their 2022 European tour) and muse (seen them live about ten years ago and almost seen them a few years ago but wife was heavily pregnant so we didn't make it). When asking which band is biggest, for all I love both it isn't even a competition. Muse is a much bigger band than nightwish. At 17, 000,000 albums sold. You can see this in the insane production quality of there concerts of the last ten years. Before that, they were still huge, headlining Glastonbury ect, but even then nowhere near there spectical they create on stage today. I've been a muse fan from the very start and the transformation they have undergone is huge from what they were early on. With the release of black holes and revelations their style took a massive change from anything they did before and they lost a lot of fans because of it. Even I didn't like the new direction and was convinced it was a joke along with many other muse fans. But I think such Is the power of muse, they managed to convince a lot of the older fans (me included) that their new found stadium style worked. And muse have grown into probably the best stadium performers on the planet. I know more people have heard of cold play. But put a cold play gig side by side with a muse one. Muse will be bigger and better, the only difference is the average Joe won't know the words where as they would with cold play. So micro cuts is earlier muse from their second album, they had a very distinct direction to their music then that a lot of fans identified as muse, before they began to experiment. The concert that this video is from is the first time I watched muse ever on TV.
I have 3 favorite songs. This is one of them. The other two are Map of the Problematique and Hate This and i'll Love You. But i'd like to recommend Assassin live at The Mayan ^-^ or Space Dementia

Here it is with lyrics. Enjoy! th-cam.com/video/rQIXBaqGBu4/w-d-xo.html This song blew me away and got me hooked to the sound of this band back when i heard it many years ago. And it's not even from any of their major releases but rather a collection of b-sides called Hullabaloo Soundtrack (CD2 i believe is live recording from Zenith 2001 - btw this live performance of Micro Cuts you are reacting to here is from there - and CD1 is a collection of absolutely brilliant B-sides you simply have to check out! ALL OF THEM. Seriously pick any song - they're all that good - but Shrinking Universe is a solid one to start with.)

lol not sure what nightwish has to do with Muse😅 different genres entirely. You guys wanna check out Plug in Baby...and some of the brazil open air shows! yall will truly see how big this band is
I think they were just questioning which band is ‘bigger,’ because they’ve watched live videos from both bands… and the crowds were gigantic. Not making any comparisons about the kind of music they play 😊
It's crazy to think when they first started coming to the US, They opened for the Foo Fighters/Red Hot Chili Peppers arena tour. My Brother got to see it. So Sad I missed it.
Me sigo riendo con ustedes jajaja amo sus reacciónes.. ya saben, cynthia de Argentina jaja como si me conocieran.. ame tu remera de Kiss!! Los pude ver acá y baile todo el show❤ saludos
Muse are several levels bigger than NightWish. Muse were influenced by the likes of Radiohead, Queen Rush, they loved Metallica.. That is a potent mixture. All 3 musicians in Muse are really really good. Incredible band live, seen em a few times and they rock hard live, if you get that chance go and see them lads, you won't regret it. He won't be singing quite like this now though, older and a little more sensible. ps All the live Muse songs you've reacted to really are LIVE.

Muse is definitely bigger in terms of audience sizes and album sales. Thats not knocking Nightwish, they are a great band but there is a big chasm between them and Muse in popularity. Muse 17M album sales WW to Nightwish 9M album sales WW.
It's time to bring back some Iron Maiden. Specifically, the Clairvoyant -live at Donnington in '88!! Also still waiting for Ted Nugent and the Great White Buffalo-live (full frontal tour- yes, he rides an American buffalo on stage!!

Love them both but Muse are way bigger than Nightwish.
Used to sing a long to this song when i was in my early teens. My parents thought that someone was being slaugthered when they heard it.
