it doesn't look like it, but i've been working on this video for literally like a month and a half. idk why, but it was just insanely hard to make. pistol rounds are complicated i guess.

I like that you discussed many different perspectives connected to PRs, from strats to data comparisons, examples, suggestions (and that it's all segmented). Another really, really subtle thing: Dualies are the only pistol, aside from the USP-S, that DONT HAVE ANY TRACERS. This makes them an extremely effective spamming tool, especially through smokes.

@@davidmoisa8359tracers are bullets that leave a trail you can see, in csgo these are the light trails you see when someone is spamming a smoke for example, you can follow the bullet trail and know where to shoot back.
Silenced weapons, and the dualies, do not have tracers so you can safely spam a smoke without the enemies knowing exactly where you are on the other side
@@davidmoisa8359 tracers are the streaks of light that show the trajectory of the bullet. Most guns in cs have them, except for the suppressed ct weapons, and some weird exceptions
Agree on the dualies being meta. For CT's, you can now have the standard one tap long range USP, and the perfect compliment in the short range spray and pray dualies. I remember you preaching the dualies being good for a long time now!
Yeah you van see it in pro meta, there is almost always one or two dualis on ct
obviously the reason G2 is winning on pistol rounds isn't their strats, it's because monesy is using a USP no S. It's louder so it does more damage, but no-one else has realized it yet. Monesy is really ahead of his time
I thought usp no s gonna make your bullet speed faster, i never seen a evidence about remove your silence is increase your damage

The underlying message is that whoever is the best entry fragger on your team should do it and your whole team should work around that one player, he is your best elements and you should play around him to support his entries

Zywoo is basically using his strafe like controller users are (mouse/right stick for large area coverage, wasd/left stick for tiny distances). Minor aim adjustments horizontally. It works really well when trained to do so.
Yep this is how I learned to play Halo back in the day and it set me up well for CS later on.
It's an amazing strategy that unfortunately I don't see on PCs other than on TF2
I was kinda hoping you'd show G2's CT pistol round against Heroic at IEM Dallas, where Niko is solo holding B with like a nade and a smoke, and he just lets them into the site, kills Cadien as he jumps through the smoke, smokes off church, baits another player to come through the smoke, kill him, and then its a 5v3 retake on Bombsite B.
I feel like that is more of a specific play rather than a general strat that will help you improve.
Giving a free bomb plant guarantees a good round 2 buy though
One of my players getting their tweet featured in this video talking about how they don't buy in pistol rounds, when I have spent approximately 600 hours explaining to him why he needs to FUCKING BUY ARMOUR, really grinds my face

The thing I hate the most about not buying armor in pistol rounds is the aim punch. I find myself constantly getting in situations where I miss what would be a headshot just because the enemy shot me first in the stomach.
Interestingly, ZywOo has apparently mostly stopped using the Dualies. Watching the pro games it feels like they are starting to figure out how to most effectively counter Dualies. And as soon as they're only marginally better than USPs - they become a liability as you have another player with a smoke or two flashes instead of armor because of it.
Very interesting to see this meta development.
i think regardless, having one ct have dualies on a b-hold where a majority of b-sites are close quarters oriented is gonna be a demand, and gonna keep dualies as a factor for first round buys

The key on pistole rounds is just do not try be a hero and go alone, giving some position to the enemy is better than facing 5 ts running to u.
What an excellent video, first great strategic explanation for elements of this game that I have seen in a long time.
I just realized I've used strafe walking as an aim assisting tool since forever. Only for small flaws that I make if I flick too much to one side. And obviously works best for distant enemies.

Dont buy a kit one pistol round may be good for Pro teams who can retake a site efficiently and with speed. But in a PUG in general, youre just not going to retake like a pro team. PUG and lower level team play, i'd say buy at least 1. Kits win rounds. Hard to tell people to do what the Pros do when they arent on a pro team. That's like telling your wide receivers to just catch the ball with one hand because Randy Moss does it.

I have lost PLENTY of pistol rounds just from not buying a kit. All be it I am Gold Nova 4 but most pistol rounds depends on the map if I play my cards right I can get a ez kill or 2 sneak to site and get another kill and oops don't have kit. Untill Im pro or higher than Gold Nova 4 then maybe I'll consider never getting a kit like I am annoyingly doing now. Great vid tho 💪

I used to play a really crappy fps that when zoomed in you would get awful pixel jumping of 5+ pixels when trying to aim, so maybe I should go back to aiming with movement

You have uploaded so infrequently that I thought it must have said 11 months ago, not 11 minutes.
I’ve tried using my movement like that zywoo kill but it’s super weird. Idk when to do it and when not to, and it’s far from comfortable
Train that at the warmups before each map. If you're on MM this is easier to do. Tip, you always spawn with the perfect height for a headshot. So you'll need to strafe or correct it horizontally perfect (without too much strength on the mouse to keep that height) and you'll start feeling it.

I remember seangares having a video about pistols, saying that 5 players on armor isn’t worth it in pro-play because 70+% of kills were headshots.
The reason headshot kill % is so high in pistol rounds is that if you don't shoot them in the head, you can't kill them due to armour. So you either headshot them or die, hence headshot % is high. That doesn't mean armour is useless, because those people will just eat aim punch and die in a few chest shots.

I always go all out with duelies, a flash and HE. HE is thrown early (im usually against this) in hoped that i deal a bit of damage to a few players. Spray and pray with duelies and the flash is just in case for 1v1s and i want to make a guy look away for half a sec
ok the graph on 4:37 is extremely misleading, the base line is not 0 but 1.25 which makes the .35 difference seems like double or triple the performance.
the baseline should probs be 1 in this case.
??? the baseline is 1.25 when it should be 1. It's not showing Zywoo against all pistols, it's showing Zywoo against the best pistols each year, which means he's even further ahead of everyone else this year than the graph suggests

i gotta ask now, i'm around silver elite gold nova 1, i don't mind the rank, i play on and off when i feel like it but... how do you deal with enemy teams that simply do not give a damn about your nades, molotovs and smokes at different parts of the games?
i've had countless games where you'd think a smoke or molo would stop them but they would rather take the 40-50 hp loss on the molotov than stop before it, or they would come like a flock of indians through a smoke but they're not even lined up so you can spray them, they are just at different angles, not sure if due to luck or pre-planned to do that, and at best you kill 1 and get traded
on the other side i face so many ct's playing like t's that i have no idea how to stop them or at least delay them, i tried on inferno to molotov banana, or smoke it or throw nades, they don't care there's just (for whatever reason) 3-4 ct's running at you through everything
4 months late, but better than never. Do not think of grenades as an ultimate solution that keeps enemies away. Until you are playing in a semi-professional match against the same people over and over again to the point you know how they act, it is pointless to assume. Very often your grenades won't stop your enemies because they don't care or won't do shit, because enemies aren't following the timings because they were afk on spawn. Grenades do help, but at a certain point you just have to start aiming better to progress, which is currently borderline impossivble, because CS2 doesn't know on how yo decide if you were standing or moving when you start shooting.
