Dangerous Girls has been given a second life! It's newly printed in hardback under the name, "I'll Never Tell". I hope it can finally get the attention it deserves.
I definitely want to read Circe. Also, I Believe in a Thing Called Love sounds like the perfect cute, light-hearted read! I’d love to read it sometime soon 😊
A couple of my favorites are on this list too (Dangerous Girls, The Poet X, and I Believe in a Thing Called Love)! I definitely really want to pick up Circe and Little Fires Everywhere!
Very good choices ive read couple out of your list but interested in a little life been hearing alot about this book.. also the silent girls definitely sparked my interest. Awesome review😊
I love If We Were Villains so so much! Can't wait for M.L.Rio to bless us with a new book. I've own A Little Life for years now and I can't bring myself to read it, it will happen eventually because i love pain and suffering but ohhh i'm not ready yet. Some of my favorite standalones are Jane Unlimited by Kristin Cashore, Echo After Echo by Amy Rose Capetta and Blod Water Pain by Joy McCullough.
I haven't been on booktube lately but randomly decided to click on this video. Suuupper happy I did! Ur descriptions are wonderful, haha I want to read all these books now! Thanks so much for sharing!
I adore Circe, Madeline Miller is such an amazing writer! I Believe In A Thing Called Love is such a cute and enjoyable read, it's so underrated and I wish more people read and hyped it up! I have had Little Fires Everywhere on my TBR for 2 years since it came out, but I have yet to read it. I will try to soon though 😊
I can’t wait to get my hands on Circe!! I prefer stand alones too, I like being able to wrap everything up in one reading session 📖 I’ve found that over the years as my reading tastes changed and university took over, I actually ended up missing out on so many conclusions to series I had loved
I love so many of these books! I definitely need to check of the Silence of the Girls! Based on your description of Little Fires Everywhere, I think you'd love the audiobook Miracle Creek by Angie Kim. It has the same narrator from Little Fires Everywhere and once again she does such an amazing job of putting on a performance and bringing the story to life! It's a courtroom drama about a Korean family, but much more about all the little secrets people are keeping and how they cause so many problems!
My fav stand alone so far this year would be The Extraordinary Life Of Sam Hell. Where The Crawdads Sing is also one I would recommend and The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah.
I've started both Circe and A Little Life, but it just wasn't the right time to read them. However, I'm DYING to pick them up again, because they intrigue me so much! I also absolutely love standalones! (also because I'm the worst at reading series haha) Great video!!
Oddly enough, I am not a fan of Shakespeare but still absolutely loved If We Were Villains! I definitely want to read A Little Life at some point, but it's just so intimidating...
same here with Shakespeare and If We Were Villains. If anything it made me want to like Shakespeare :)) it's probably better if the reader also loves the bard but you can definitely still enjoy the book if not ^^
Have you ever thought about making a recommendations video of dark academia books? i have both The secret history and we were villians. Planning on reading both.
Hey, do you think "a little life" is hard to read for someone who doesn't have english as their first language? 'Cause I'm from Germany and I like reading books in their original version, but I also want to understand the story correctly.
i have such conflicted feelings about A Little Life. it was so beautifully written and heartwrenching but every time i think about it i can't help but think that some of it seemed kinda like torture porn? also i don't usually get triggered by novels but i had to take so many breaks reading it lol
oh man I actually really really didn't like The Silence of the Girls, I was honestly so bored. It didn't give me enough different/new information to justify its existence.
Yessss I love this!! I don’t see enough booktubers talking about A Little Life! I love that book so so so much. Subscribed!!! 💕
love a good standalone (-': i am so bad at just never picking up the next book in a series so this is fab !!

alittlewriterem I’m the same. I need closure sooner so I always read several books between reading series books.

I just finished the Nightingale and ADORED it!
I loved Sam Hell too! Read it on kindle unlimited but bought the hardcover which delivered yesterday. ❤️ 📚

Great video!!
I never finish series, I’ll be honest lolol. That’s why i love stand alones because it’s a small commitment !
You should read ‘I3 minutes’ if you like thriller type books with unreliable narrators (at leat i think that is what it is called)
Yellow is definitely your colour.
I'm super eager to read The Silence of the Girls, I really enjoyed Regeneration by her and I love a good mythology retelling
Yesss I hope you love it!
amazing video! some of those were already on my tbr 💛
yess i'm so glad!
YES I LOVE DANGEROUS GIRLS
Oddly enough, I am not a fan of Shakespeare but still absolutely loved If We Were Villains! I definitely want to read A Little Life at some point, but it's just so intimidating...

Hola Hermosa!!! New Subscriber here🤗
I’m sick of series that I want to unhaul all of of them. Stand alone books are the best.
Have you ever thought about making a recommendations video of dark academia books?
i have both The secret history and we were villians. Planning on reading both.
Yesss I’d love to, but I’ve only read one or two that I’d highly recommend, so I’d have to wait a bit to find more that I’d like
Ninth House for another dark academia book!
