My cousin actually went through that "Tutorial Shiny" situation when he played his first ever Pokémon game, which was Pokémon X. Several years has passed, and he still hasn't completely let it go.

I didn't have that happen to me, but something close, it was a battle in Eterna forest when walking around with Cheryl in pokemon platinum, I tried knocking out her Chansey, but she was able to KO the shiny buneary before I could KO Chansey.

I never saw Skarmory or Slugma in my first playthrough, so I still thought they are from Hoenn for a while.

Personally, I found a shiny Quagsire. In the Safari Zone sort of area? Great Marsh? It ran away from me. T^T However, I also hooked a shiny Feebas, which I was able to catch. I do prefer shiny Milotic to shiny Quagsire, so I'll take it as a win. ^_^

13:31 I was crushed by the fact that I couldn't get porygon-z or leafeon. I planned my team out in like august and was so excited. I even had nicknames.
I never planned out a team and had never played sinnoh before, yet my team started half morphing into a basic sinnoh team.
My team before beating the game was:
Empoleon, staraptor, Luxray, palkia, Kadabra, And mew.
My team in the post game is practically the same but kadabra was replaced with garchomp.
The amount of disappointment that I felt when I found out without trading, I could only get a Gliscor after beating the Pokemon League was so damn much
Speed boost protect Yanmega was going to be the cornerstone of my team 😔
I was planning on having Glaceon on my team but when I learned I couldn't get an Eevee until after I beat the game I was so disappointed. :(
i had Infernape, Luxray, Garchomp, Milotic, Salamence and Aggron planned for Shining Pearl... i got 4 out of 6, but the fact that two are locked behind post-game means i need to trade them. and i'm not fine with waiting for post-game.

8:08 I found a shiny Shiinotic. Never caught it. It had three healing moves, killed all of my mons, used up all of my pokeballs, and ended up killing it. I still hate Shiinotic to this day. It was also the first shiny I lost.

I hate that demon known as shiinotic too, the bloody bastard would escape every pokeball i threw whether it be ultra,great,dusk it kept using annoying moves, it did significant damage to my level 70 pokemon and it was a level 13 shiinotic, it was one of few pokemon needed to complete the dex.

I really felt the emotion from the Furret video. You see, ever since I was a child me and my family would turn on the fireplace and watch Furret Walking Up a Escalator. It was my childhood, my life, my everything. But when I heard the news, the news of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl I was heartbroken, knowing that it would soon be ending. Once BDSP came out everyone was upset for their own reasons but I was saddest at the end of my childhood. Ever since that day I've felt a sense of emptiness. Without that video what am I? There is now a empty void in my heart that will never be filled.

3:53 this group is actually from a (I think) fan-made comic where there were 2 mewtwo's who just live near Ash and somehow got a baby mewtwo. That Pikachu you saw, was probably just Ash's Pikachu
The baby (Huey) is Newtwo's (the Mewtwo from the Unova movie) son. He was born because- at least in that universe- Mew reproduce asexually thanks to a pheromone released by a special type of flower, which Delia just so happened to be growing in her garden at the time. In more recent events, Mewtwo almost had a relapse into his movie self when he learned that he and Newtwo were made using the dead remains of the original infant Mew that they were cloned from, and recently discovered that he has a daughter that was cloned from him, thanks to a group of scientists hiring some mercenaries to obtain some of his DNA so they could study it. However, since the clone hadn't properly incubated when Mewtwo took her from the chamber, and the DNA sample was contaminated because the Pokémon that got it was a Gengar, she ended up as a unique Psychic/Ghost type Mewtwo.

Mikey, i highly recommend checkout this series.
It's called Mewtwo and Mew by artist TC-96, and it revolves around the life and conflicts of Mewtwo, his sister Newtwo, her son Huey, and Mew, who settle down to live with Ash and Deliah in Pallet town.
It's really cute and funny but can also be really emotional and devastating. It's a good series binge-read.

13:30 This happened to me. I wanted to use Tangrowth and Yanmega with Mamoswine, Rampardos, Gallade and Drapion and have a badass ancient team, but they locked them behind the post game so I had to get Crobat and Electabuzz instead, as well as axe Gallade and get Gardevoir.
I get ya. I wanted to use Porygon-Z, but couldn't.
BTW, you could've used Gallade. There's a Dawn Stone in Mount Coronet that only requires Surf in BDSP. I just checked.

Yeah, i found out I could use Gallade but I didn't have an everstone and was annoyed and stressed with trying to find an electric type to cover water once I found out about Tangrowth and found out the thunder stone was in sunny shore so I couldn't risk Raichu. I was so annoyed by constantly having to stop Kirlia from evolving that I gave up and let it evolve
You can get gallade, just get a pick up pokemon i had one hella quick… pretty sure the only unavailable Pokémon were tangrowth and yanmega… and you wouldn’t normally be able to get those anyways pre-national dex
