I have a neighbor just like this. I gave him money for some food and other needs, or so alleged...now he is always asking. Same way of speaking it up. He says his food stamps have been taken away because he failed to fill out the paperwork to renew them. He will ask for money, saying he is starving. I said to him the other day, in a friendly way, you should call and get them back by doing the questions over the phone or go down if you have to. "What's the point?" he replied. A simple phone call is all it takes to renew. Liar. Any starving person would do it instantly...one day he asked for food, saying he had hardly anything...then when I went to give him some cans, he tells me, "Oh no, I've got plenty of canned goods in the cabinet." Why the food? To sell it for drugs. He said he hardly had anything, then his cabinet has plenty of canned goods? It would be one thing if he asked for some meat, eggs, or bread...
