We had a short time so we did the self guided tour. next time we might try the guided tour. I usually like to get a lot of B-Roll and I didn't want to be distracting to the tour guide.
I wanted to so visit this while we were in Vegas but we ran out of time lol.. always a next time. Glad you guys got to go, pretty cool to see all those lights at night! Definitely better to go at that time. Lots of cool signs! I remember that Elvis wedding! I can't believe you guys took the drive too, road warriors!!
I felt the same about Omega Mart. I really wanted to go when we were there after seeing your video but I wanted to make sure we had enough time to play so I saved it for next time. We somehow made it to Las Vegas from Chicago in 2 Days.
This is a place we have never visited in our Vegas travels. But it looks really cool at night. We will have to check it out next time. I love that they have a scavenger hunt for the kids. That is a huge golden nugget. I guess we should leave the strip to go to Freemont Street to see the world's largest golden nugget. We visit museums the way Mark does. We read all the signs. And download the app if there is one to get more info. And people just keep streaming by us without reading anything. LOL. Thanks for taking us to the Las Vegas Neon Museum!
I have been going to Vegas over 30 times and I feel like I still have so much to see. Freemont Street was a right of passage for me as a kid and with my kids also. Gotta learn about the real world 😂. I love your videos because of all the info. In ours, I give some facts and just laugh at my own jokes.
You are very welcome. What I like about Vegas it has a little of everything depending the phase of your life. Family friendly places are a little harder but more plentiful than people realize. Any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. Thanks again for watching.
Very cool collection of signs! I'm sure people will forever love the history that is being showcased here. Love seeing the family - glad that you see each other so much.
Vegas has always been known for lights so it's cool they have a place where they can retire and still be admired. Most of my family moved to the west coast so we'll be taking a lot of road trips in that area.
Wow Very cool and fascinating Neon Museum! so interesting to see and hear about & cool signs. Wonderful tour and Have a happy day my dear friend 🔔🔔🔔🔔👏👏👏👏
Oh these were great signs! I haven't been to Vegas in more than 10 years but these sign definitely remind me of old Vegas. :). You guys always find some really cool, weird places! Cheers
Definitely a night activity! I’m so glad they kept these signs, incredible history here! Awesome that there is an app attached with the history! That Stardust sign is super cool!
Only Mark had the attention span to check the app for each sign. I would ask him for the highlights 😂. Stardust was the best sign there for sure. Have a great week!
Great hook in the beginning! We thought about going there when we’re in Vegas but just ran out of time! You know, I love it so much when your sister is in the videos! Long live the hard rock Café shirts! That was a staple at my elementary school! 😂 I was hoping that you would bring up your wedding! That is so iconic!
Thanks for binging on our content. The past year I have been working really hard on the first 30 seconds so thanks for noticing. Several people made comments of Eiffel being back. More Eiffel videos that I still need to edit. Hard Rock Cafe shirts was so popular. When we showed Rosalie we got married at the Pyramid, she was so confused 😂
I’ve been wanting to visit to Neon Museum for about 5 years! They must have really loosened up on their video policy: when I was looking into it 4-5 years ago, video of any form was a huge no-no and their were all kinds of channels getting flagged for video. Still photos were fine, so I watched a lot of montage videos of the place back then. There are so many other sites and museums around Vegas that many people don’t know about. You should check out the mob museum (if you haven’t). Loved seeing that old neon!
They allow film or video on a cell phone. They didn't like my gopro set up, which probably films less than a cell phone. So I put away the gopro and filmed on my cell phone for the rest. I just heard about the mob museum and it is high on our list.
We are actually going back for Spring Break. We are going to Vegas and Spring Break. My problem is I cruise around so fast on places like this. Just happy to see the signs.
I was here in the day it’s way more cool at night!!! I can’t believe how many work! And you know I love the videos with you sis and fam in it!!!! Fast forward to adult and you’re the “cool kid” now. You’ve been everywhere! Ha ha
At night was way better. As Mark was saying only 1 worked when it got there. Wonder how much work it took to get the others going. My sister is hilarious and she laughs at my jokes so I keep her around. We have been to most, but you guys have me beat! Only 20 more states - only counts if there is a video there.
After the pandemic, I think reservations is something most businesses have kept to manage the number of people. Glad I remembered to check first. Such a fun place.
I think that's the first time I heard you do TWO "Let's Go's" in the same video. This is cool to see cause Las Vegas is one place I'll probably never get to! Hahaha, "Ernies"... the power of observation! I'm a "read everything on the sign" type too... takes me forever to get through things!
That is a very good catch. If I film an intro, I usually don't do it for the 30 second breakdown. I usually edit for 4-7 hours over 3 days. I wasn't wasn't feeling good so I edited this 1 day (same number of hours). No excuse, only one Let's go for the intro! Let's Go! My sister is more like me just wandering around. But it was good to have Marc because he would only give me the most useful information. I'm over this cold and go to the annual DMS/Santos Chronicles camping trip.
I have stayed at the golden nugget on multiple occasions and I didn’t know about the GOLDEN Nugget!!!😮 This place is super cool- I really want to visit this place next time I’m there!!! The scavenger hunt is a great idea too for the kiddos
It's hidden in the back area but it was a cool scavenger hunt. It's a great place to admire these old signs. Really brought me back to my childhood. And the kids loved it because of that scavenger hunt.
Awesome awesome neon lights! Just curious… what how you do your voice dubbing? Maybe I already asked…. Your audio never disappoints! Haha Hard Rock Cafe shirts 👚 were cool!
For voice over I use a Blue Yeti microphone. I do have a wind screen to help enunciate certain words better. I then have it hooked up to stand so it's always in the right setting a distance. So i just swing it over to do voice overs. And then depending on the mics on the camera I might have to edit the db lower, but usually I leave those alone. Took awhile to get it there. Glad someone noticed other than me. Unfortunately I was looking outside in with those Hard Rock and Hooter Shirts with the Cities 😄
@@SomeplaceOrAnother I have the 11 and it does well if its bright like this or a light show. I do have a light. But phones usually do better at night for me.
Love these amazing Neon Lights. was that Rosalie asking "Whats a Golden Nugget?" I love the Fitzgeralds sign. I bet you the owner was of Irish ancestry. These are amazing signs. Have a great week, from Sunny Melbourne ( Victoria). 👍🏼🙏🏼🤠♥
It was her cousin Gabe asking that. I did answer him after I recorded. A young kid found that golden nugget in Australia. So jealous of your Sun. One more week of negative temperatures here. Have a good week.
What a fun attraction!! Glad we were able to stop by because I’ve always been curious about it. But can we also talk about how cute we were when we were little!? 😍😍😍
I think that song I found will be your new theme song every time you are in a video. I love that photo. Discovered it looking through mom's photo albums. Had to get past your saved belly button.
LOL. When we take trips it is usally with driving so we cover so much ground and stop at the weird and wacky stops. One of these days a video the time in between - the not as glamorous part.
@@SantosChroniclesyou thing they would say something if I recorded with my iPhone with my little tripod handle or would the phone need to be standalone in my hand only?

Thanks for the compliment, but you give me too much credit. I pretty much film about 45 min, which I edit down to 6-8 min. No magic number, just happens. Weird thing is I usually go in without a plan so I can have a genuine reaction. After I get done, I do a quick search and add a few facts And if I'm missing anything I add in with voice over. Then I build it like a puzzle. Scripting would be a much better approach. But I find it more fun finding the story int he edit. As for music I felt that it lowered retention, I generally add just to break up a scene or evoke a feeling. Yea, it's more like control chaos editing. Probably more than you asked but I love edit nerd talk.

Yeah I remember hearing about this 14 years ago..I was disappointed hearing alot of the signs don't work😔it's like the signs that represent the place make the place closes down..but when lit up it's like they still alive😊
Yea, only 1 actually worked when it was sent there. All the rest they had to restore - if they could. I completely agree - these lights are a great memory of yesteryear. Have been going to Vegas so much and we just discovered this place. Finally started going off the strip.
So nice neon Boneyard tour! Regards from Palma de Mallorca!
Thank you so much. One of my new favorites in Vegas!
I love that place! My video there has done really well, too! I think the guided tour is worth it, as well as the Jackpot show.
