I am now 66 years old and was taken to my first match at 9 years old and was hooked. I was there for Promotion in 1968,1992 and 2000. I was there in 1978 winning the FA Cup and the UEFA Cup in 1981. I have never witnessed scenes like I did over that magical bank holiday weekend. I travelled up to Ipswich 3 days running from mid Essex. I remember sitting in my seat 3 or 4 years ago staring at thousands of empty blue seats thinking a return to the Premier League would not happen again during my life time. Then something happened in the form is the American owners taking over which led to the appointment of Mark Ashton and thenKieran McKenna. I cannot thank you enough on behalf of all the Town fans throughout the world. I do not think this is the end of the story. We've done the impossible before throughout our history. Don't forget Captain Cobbold bringing in the then Manchester Utd manager when we were a non league team in the 1930s!
FANTASTIC I started in 1974 isupporting Ipswich I will be 66 on July 4th it has been a long time coming I do have a feeling this time that Ipswich can strengthen to be able to compete at a reasonable level in the premier league I am so happy for Ipswich and the whole of the area hopefully many more great times to come
Ipswich got 1 point out of six from the 2 games with Norwich this last season but I am very very happy to swap that for promotion to the premier league and Norwich will be in the championship again next season so I guess this time IPSWICH TOWN FC have had the last laugh 😆 😂😅
