Greetings and love from Cameroon! I studied languages in Germany and it took me this episode to realize where the prefix ur comes from! They actually say Ursprung for origin, Uropa for great-grandpa and Urknall for the Big Bang. And you can actually emphasize how ancient or old something or somebody is by using it many times: ur-ur-oma for great-great-grandma. I've been saying it for years without knowing where that comes from. Thanks so much Noraly for letting us have a close look at the origins of civilization in Mesopotamia and Babylon.

You are correct on how legendary her content is. What we are witnessing is history in the making. Big media spends multimillions to create a show that is often ripe with false narratives. With all that money they still don't know how to make interesting content without embellishing and over dramatization. Or perhaps its all about "money" and attracting advertisers and/or a world that's led to believe evil content is what we should have. Then there is Noraly, a solo woman creating supreme artistic cinematography that shows truth and focuses on positivity. A role model for ALL regardless of religion, color, or ethnicity. Peace!
I was so happy that you went to Uruk, a city that is so long been on my bucket list that when my studies brought me in touch with the Tale of Gilgamesh, in the Ennuma Elish, that I went to see where you were standing. The pictographs, the blue faienced baked bricks, and the artifacts from that site conjured up such things that I can't explain to any. Ur, another case where literature fails to comprehend just how very significant that these City-States rose to their relative apexes, and later dimming to mear shadows of their once great selves. With all my heart, thank you! ❤

Noraly, I love that you saw the Ziggurat of Ur! I was fortunate enough to get to scale the Ziggurat and tour the city ruins when I was deployed to Iraq. A gentleman named Daif showed us the grounds. Truly an incredible place.
I was deployed to Tallil Air Force base from Dec 2006 to March of 2008. The base is next to the City of Ur. There were guided visits for us...Amazing place to visit!!
So nice to see that Iraq is peaceful now and doing better. Best wishes to the people of Iraq!

Thanks to Itchy Boots, we have received another great lesson in ancient history!! The ziggurat’s were an amazing sight to see, and the first written word?? WOW!! What a treat at the end of a long day…a room fit for royalty!! Thanks for sharing this amazing historical journey and it’s lovely to see all the Iraqis just wanting so desperately to communicate with you!! Cheers from Texas USA ❤❤
I recall reading that the first written words were for administrative needs, like counting items.
i've always been afraid of traveling, afraid of violence, afraid of pick pockets, but when I watch your videos, I see how many cool people you meet and how much I am losing for been afraid, so now, I am not anymore, in march I am going to watch motogp in Spain and I am very excited about it.
"Hollanda!" - the most popular word in the last few Noraly's episodes 😁
Haha "Masalama" brother!😂
Negotiating the city traffic takes nerves of steel and the patience of a saint.
Not to mention while narrating.
Totally agree. She is not only a good rider but, she has an adventurous spirit. To be young again and full of confidence.
Noraly treated like a rock star celebrity in Iraq...How Wonderful!!! Much Love to you Noraly and continued safe travels to show us the rest of the world.
If I was a high school teacher I'd be showing these videos to my students!
I'm always amazed how you just get stuff done without knowing the language (gas up, checkpoints, greeting people etc). Perfect hotel room for Noraly, Queen Of The Road.😄 🥰❤
It's amazing, she just smiles and everything is fine...😀
It's charming how they are so excited to meet and help you! A woman traveling alone in that area is probably like a space alien to them.
The guys at 27:45 wanted to invite Noraly to their home as a welcome gesture to Iraq. Truly Amazing how Noraly has picked all the right places to allow the rest of the world a view to all of these important Iraqi cites that have been for decades obstructed due to war and unrest!
We use tho word ur in the same way in Swedish. Ursprung is the actual Swedish word for origin also.
Ur means place ( town)in South Indian language Tamil.
Possible got the origin from ancient ur.
@@atheeba2747 or the other way around..

@cyphercracker cool! Which language is that?
I am impressed how fast you pick up languages.

But to do an adventure we need a pocket to be filled. 😂 To fill your pocket you need a job.
Hello from Turkey. You are a world ambassador! We love you!
Hey Noraly, I'm not that good at writing English, but it's great to follow you. In May 2024 I had a serious motorcycle accident where I was hit from behind and am still recovering. Luckily I'm still alive after 18 fractures in my body. Being hit from behind and dying is not fun. Unfortunately I can't ride a motorcycle anymore, but I love following you. Keep filming your channel. Take good care of yourself
Feel better soon
nothing wrong with your English writing. Very sad to hear about your accident. I would be VERY very sad if I could never ride a motorcycle anymore, been at it for 43 years. I hope you recover in a decent way and find something else to make you happy.
Wow. Hope you can heal.

Noraly is a brilliant example of kindness in the world. People immediately sense her integrity! I really enjoy seeing her latest travels in Iraq.
NoorAli I’m really enjoying this season thank you! I’ll never go to Iraq nor Iran and I’m loving the people of these countries. ♥️ We don’t see this side in America. I loved seeing the ancient sites today.
Ciao! 🤗
This is legendary film making, worthy of a bucketful of awards. Leaves every other travelogue in the dust! The interaction with everybody is just wonderful, the world would be so much better if we had a few thousand clones of Noraly.
So well said and I share your sentiments. Maybe we had past lives there.
Love the interaction with the gas station guy. Super helpful dude!
He just wanted to hold her hand!😂😂
I need to be more like Noraly here in North America, so often i get pissed at some idiot's driving, Noraly just chuckles and carries on. Much better strategy.
I've been working towards following Noraly's example for nearly 2 years now and it took some time to break old habits but I've totally changed how I handle various situations, greeting strangers, etc. Amazing how well it works. Big challenge was not cursing anymore.
Ur is the city of Abraham . Abraham was in Ur when he was called to be the father of all nations. Ur was a vibrant city at that time so imagine been told to leave. What a wow!
How far showing a little respect goes Noraly.

If only our politicians watched your ambassadorial skills the world would be a better place.

Nice ride today , cool camel 🐪 crossing and some very interesting history. Living in the US not much is older than 260 years old other then our Native Americans historical sights that may be 700,or 800 years old . so when I see a city that is 2,100 years BC it hard for me to comprehend. Everyone seems so helpful , nothing better than friendly people helping each other along the way. Thanks for taking us with you on this journey.
I think people crossed over from Asia around 12 or 13 thousand years ago. There's a book, "America BC" which studies native artifacts found on the East Coast from 2000 years ago.
Couldn’t resist and pre-ordered the book. For your inspiration for the reality you show!!! Millions of thanks

Usually by the time Norally posts the video it has been several weeks or months since she was there.
I am wondering how many other viewers also felt humbled, goosebumps, and very moved at seeing the buildings and remains from centuries ago.
