Nice Allante! I’m sure you can re chrome those wheels. This kind of took me back to when you bought your original flooded Allante. Can’t wait for Part 2.
Thank you for this presentation. I only have one Allante and I love it. I like yours too and can't wait to see it restored to running condition. FYI: I had wheels restored at Detroit Wheels for $115.00 each. Perhaps there is a similar shop in your area. Good luck.
Al, I can't blame you for your addiction to the Allante. These were such beautiful cars, especially with the top down. It's a shame GM couldn't have come up with a more efficient means of making them so they could live on past '93. I can't imagine a more fun afternoon that cruising by the coast on a warm afternoon in one of those - hope you get her restored as much as economically possible. The fact that all the plastics in the interior are still excellent gives you a huge head-start.
are you sure that it needs a new starter or is it the theft system cutting you off? i had to completely bypass my theft system in my 97 SLS to get it to run after the "theft system wait 3 minutes" warning came on endlessly. but im sure these earlier cars had a different system from the Passkey II in the later caddies. nice car though, excited to see if you can get it in good shape.
DAMN incredible try and good buy even at this point. I told you before I am trying to save a 89 that was parked for 11 years, it is on my page, what are you thoughts?
I have a car channel like you, would like your input, you like when we give input on your cars. I have the same car and made a 12 video series on the first look, first start, first drive ect..@@bigalsbikeandauto

My 86 caddy is a PITA with the side term battery
A long screw driver hitting both plugs spins the starter as well

Big Al ! I think you have a really clean runner 🤞🚘👍. Have a good thanksgiving 🦃 my friend . Salute 😎✌️
Can you put the mother's polishing ball on the wheels?
Not aggressive enough for this much corrosion but stayed tuned for part 2, I cleaned them up
Is this the one from Randy at Auto Auction Rebuilds?
No that one was red
@@bigalsbikeandauto Ahh yes I have slept since then. Remember seeing them trying to flush that transmission of strawberry shake...

Or someone opened the door and let the water inside the car
Nice outro Al😢
Bingo. New video. Schmutz sounds very German.
No clue what it actually means, but I’ve heard it used in the context of filth since I was young.
