I'd like you to make a video about wrinkly flabby arms and a stick-out tummy and how to disguise them, thank you Nada, you are so good and a ray of sunshine in this grey weather. I wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas
I used to wear clown tops cinched at the waist to cover my belly. I’ve recently lost a bunch of errand my arms are flabby so I’m buying long sleeves and 3/4 sleeves. Or going with a tank and 3/4 sleeve cardigan.
Nada I've been following you for awhile and I love to see your channel grow! You sooo deserve this as your content is off the charts. I follow many fashion channels but yours is BY FAR the best and most informative. Merry Christmas to you and your family. xo
I was watching videos from you early this morning and I noticed it was almost three years old. I can’t believe I have been watching you for three years! You wouldn’t believe how much my wardrobe has changed in the past three years! This year I hope to do at least one workshop. I am 75 years old, so I have zero interest in looking trendy or in buying lots and lots of cheap clothing. Talbots is my go to store and I got my very first cashmere sweater from them this fall. Quince and Lilysilk are on my list to buy a few forever pieces from in the coming up year. Here’s looking forward to year number four!
Nada, this video was SO educational! I had never given any consideration to collars, so that was an eye opener to me! There's one thing you said that I have to disagree with and that is to choose earring shapes that match your face shape. Just as you choose your eyeglasses and hairstyles to flatter your face shape, I believe that the same principle applies to choosing your earrings. If you have a round face, you don't want to wear round glasses, which emphasizes it. If you have a round face, round earrings will do the same thing. In this case, you really should wear longer or more linear earrings to add length to your face. I'm not an expert but this just seems to follow the same logic as how to choose eyeglass frame shapes or hairstyles, to me.
Another great video. RE: Rise: Based on my shopping experience, manufacturers will claim anything between a 9 to 13" rise as "high" rise. Most commonly, I see a lot of 10" or 10.5" rises marked as high rise. That's not high enough in my book! I need 12" for the pant to reach my actual waist and cover my belly button. I'm so happy high-rise is in style! I agree, it's key to know your best rise!
I appreciate your tips, they are universal. The pictures are of young skinny models with great skin & jawlines, arms, etc. I wish I could find a stylist who works with regular off-the-street looking seniors. Should I wear my dainty gold chains when now my neck is lined & flabby or for longer chains, the skin is crepey there ? What if there are no body features I want to highlight? What % of women have a waistline 10 years after menopause?
Totally get your comment. Skinny air brushed models have and always will be used to model clothes and jewellery. I no longer compare myself to them as I now realise most people don’t look like that. Finally learning to love myself and my imperfections. If you like your dainty jewellery I’d say go for it. I don’t see anything wrong with crepey skin…it’s a normal part of aging and every age is beautiful.❤
Great video. Its hard to choose just one. Finally I think 10 (focal points). It's the most original and would make a good video as the effects would stand out more on video than say texture or cloth type.
Thank you!!! Lots of details! As a wide shouldered one i can’t wear dropped shoulders (and some raglan) - they make me look like my shoulders just go on and on and on 😦 and on … 😅
#3 Bag. Also perhaps a video about how to wear our hair to make us appear more youthful, vibrant and up to date. Thank you for putting this together. I always enjoy your content and I look forward to your next video.
Great video! @nadamanley I am still amazed by the quality of your content and the incredible way you communicate, help us understand that style can be learned, and most importantly you teach us how it can be done Thank you for giving us such valuable advise and gift. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
5 I love the shows combining flattering colors for eye / hair /skin coloration. I am grey at age 89, but continue to keep a rusty auburn hair color with my fair, freckled skin and hazel eyes. I have always been drawn to Autumn colors which are flattering, yet I wear a lot of black that seems to still work for me. Why? Actually, a lot of colors seem to work well for me yet this becomes rather overwhelming at times. I am an artist and seamstress so color has always been essential to me. Thanks, Nada.
I'd like to buy a draped top or knee-length dress in the new year, ideally with a cowl/mock turtle neckline and long sleeves or capped sleeves (I could wear a long-sleeve top underneath). I'm on the lookout for one that's not too expensive, preferably in navy blue. The problem with those already on sale is that the dresses are so long, why do designers just make mini or midi/maxi dresses - have they forgotten there's a length in between that hits just on the knee or just above/under it? As a petite it's really frustrating as I don't want to wear minis or pay for alterations all the time.
Fabric- Im trying to go all natural- its so hard to do this on a budget. Everything that is abundance is all plastic fibers and cheaper. Ill have to build it slowly with wool and cashmere!
More on Rise, please. I’m an inverted triangle with not much of a waist. PS: any information on hiding/detracting from a turkey neck would be greatly appreciated 😊
I’ve recently had to replace my entire wardrobe due to an 80 pd weight loss due to health issues. I’m 61 and went from a usual 12-16 size to S\M size 4-6. Even my shoes and boots are now one size to big. While I’m enjoying the choices I have with a smaller body it’s taken some education because I no longer have to hide a larger stomach, arms etc. However, I’ve lost breast size and my bum. Zero curves. I’m focused on classics that I’ll be able to wear for years with my love of jewel tones thrown in for contrast and individuality. I really don’t want to throw out more clothes! I’m avoiding trends as well. I also am silver/grey haired, 5 8” , long legs. I’ve downloaded your guide and wondered if you had any other suggestions I could follow to achieve a wardrobe that suits??
@@kellygarland63 hey! That is definitely a big transition and it does take a little bit of time to adjust your wardrobe to your new size. You can sign up for a call with me so we can chat and I can give you some ideas that are specific to you. I would be happy to help. StyleSessionWithNada.as.me/?appointmentType=9526161 I would also encourage you to join us for a closet confidence. Most of my community is in some type of transition and I discuss this process a lot. It is free and I think you would find it helpful.
Very informative video thank you Nada ❤ I'm a slender person, but drop shoulder tops are really not flattering on me. I have narrower hips & the seam of the drop shoulder shirts at my mid upper arm adds so much more bulk to my upper body that I look much heavier than I am. My head also looks even smaller. I think people who pull off drop shoulder tops and other oversized tops / blazers are those with bigger heads and longer torsos cos their frame can handle it better. Just my observation. Much love Nada thank u for all your tips ❤
I love the blouse that is diagonal because I have broad shoulders and a larger frame. Where can I purchase blouses such as those? Your help as always is appreciated!
8 rise. I’m 5’6”. So petite pants are sometimes too short. However, my rise is short. So regular size pants are often droopy and many times too long. Help😮 Your videos are awesome ❤❤❤

What fabric would you use in tops worn with tailored woollen pants? I've been wearing mainly cashmere sweaters but would like more interest in my wardrobe.

The diagonal line of a crossbody bag has been an absolute game changer for me (distracting from my carrot shape).
