Love the AU! One thing though-
Being mute means you don’t speak words at all. There’s no such thing as “permanently mute” vs “temporarily mute” because if you’re mute then you’re mute. There IS such thing as being selective mute, which means you don’t really speak words around most people, but are comfortable speaking words around people you really trust, like certain friends or family members. Being *non-verbal* is when you don’t really speak words but you make sounds, mostly in reaction to things. Hope this helps clear some things up for you! :D
