You guys are seriously the best tour guides! This is the third country I’ve visited where I followed you for your tips before I got there(Hawaii, Portugal, St. Kitts) You guys are spot on. I took Mr. Gray’s Grand Island tour because of your recommendation, and I agree it was great. I saw and learned so much about the island. I love when things are JBO approved because then it’s an easy choice for me. Whenever, I do research on a place and I see you guys have a video, you are the first that I choose because your quality is top-notch and your reviews realistic and spot on. Thank you guys!😀
We are going to do the Grand tour with Grey's in December. I want to see the Monkeys! Are they close to Frairs Beach? I saw some of in your video but was not sure if they were there? Thank you for your wonderful video's. I had no idea those baby monkeys were used to make money. Shame on them. I hope they are treated well. How are they allowed to own them?
We stopped at the batik place when we took a tour of St. Kitts. We also saw the monkeys and held them. I thought the $20 the guy charged us for the many pictures he took was worth it.
I understand the bad experience you had in St Lucia, but the complaint about "narrow roads" is overblown!!! The history of the Caribbean consists of different colonies of the British Empire and I don't remember 4lane roads centuries ago; even England itself conjures up images of narrow roads. Also, the driving on the left stigma. Australia, India and other large former colonies of the British drove on the left and so is smaller islands in the Caribbean and the Pacific. On the other hand, don't you think its weird for countries that drove on the right? At least that's how people from the British colonies should think, but they have better understanding of cultural appropriation and significance. I enjoy your channel, but you can't compare lateness of a bus tour, or over priced, with how narrow a road is, or how weird it is driving on the left.
The concern with the narrow roads was due to how close you can get to colliding with other videos. Did you watch their full video? There was a clip that showed their vehicle was an inch away from hitting another car and they had people guiding the drivers to inch away from each other in order to pass. That could waste 10 minutes! I didn’t pay to spend my limited time doing this! There’s nothing wrong with not recommending an experience they weren’t comfortable with, and yes it’s okay if these driving laws (or lack there of) is a culture shock to some. I’ve been to Mexico one time 15 years ago and went in one taxi ride, and to this day I recall how wild of a ride that was. No one wants to get into a car accident while they’re on vacation in a foreign country!
Hello, Anthony. Thank you for commenting. The weird feeling of driving on the left does not mean we are complaining about it. It feels unusual=unexpected=weird and yes, we've been to many other countries where people drive on the left and it always feels weird and unusual to us. We are not complaining about the infrastructure but more shocked about it. It was our first time to st. Lucia and we did not expect that. The crazy driving is hazardous, uncomfortable, and unprofessional when you have a group of tourists you are driving around. The lateness of the tour is due to their poor organization. Out boat ride was supposed to be 30 min each way but because they put us on a fishing boat, not on the official speed boat that they usually take tourist on, we spent most of our tour time on that boat and did not get to see MOST OF THE PROMISED ATTRACTIONS.
@@Livingtheglobe I understand. I think that one of the things people like about the Caribbean is its natural surroundings that doesn't look like Florida. Can you imagine someone who lives in Florida planning a trip to the Caribbean; only to find overdeveloped theme parks and fast food restaurants.
We loved Mr Grey’s island tour as well. He’s upgraded his tour bus since we were there. St Kitts is a beautiful island!
