No, she is not adding or mixing fuchsia instead she is making fuchsia.

You can also just skip the red and add pink straight to blue and it will be a much more vibrant magenta.

What I did:-
Russian blue(2 drops) + Crimson lake (looks like mix of pink&red) (3 drops)... Then I added white colour to it and got a beautiful purple colour 💜
I used acrylic colours

I do not have royal blue , so I used aqua marine and black and it seemed to work ok.

Which blue?
I find that if the undertone isn't right that it turns the wrong shade.
Such a difference between pthalo, prussian, celadon, ultramarine etc...
And crimson, scarlet, vermillion etc...
I've gotten awful mauve rose type colors & just all dusty ones.

Start with ultra mine or royal blue. These paints are from sergeant art.

If I were you, I would try a different paint brand. Experiment with mixing pink and purple to make your favorite shade of fuscia 😍

I'm so sorry to hear that. Fuscia can be real tricky depending on what your subject matter is. Sometimes I use neon colors for a brighter look!

I'm so sorry. I've updated my approach since this video was made. If you want, try mixing 2 parts blue with one part red for purple. Then mix pink in slowly to achieve the fuchsia color. I wish you the best.

Yes. Fuchsia is like hot pink but also like light magenta. I've also made it with watercolor paint in this video th-cam.com/video/vcWASlGmVEc/w-d-xo.html and you could mix neon colors to make it even brighter.

The other way to approach it is: start with premixed purple acrylic and add premixed pink acrylicuntil you get the shade you want!

Does anyone know why I'm getting brown when I mix red and blue in equal parts? I added white and got a lighter shade of brown.. Is it cause I need better quality paints or something? I'm using acrylic 🤷‍♀️

What brand of acrylic paint is it? It's possible that your red paint is too orange. When you mix blue and orange, you get brown.

It's called "colvin and Co".. To be honest now I'm looking at it, it does look fairly orange. It's not the best quality to be fair, I think I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and invest in better paint haha. Thanks so much for taking the time to respond ❤️
